The gage has AMAZING food, especially desserts. The service is wonderful! They constantly ask if everything is ok. The entrees are always the BEST. We all got different plates tonight and everyone thought their plate was excellent.

Took my friends here for a party, and we had the best time. The manager was fantastic and hooked us up with a great table. The waitress was wonderful - our glasses were never empty! And the music was hot - we danced all night! This bar has a great atmosphere, and combined with the great service - this is one of my favorite bars in Chicago!!! Definitely don't miss it!
Pros: great service, great music
Cons: smaller club - fills up quickly

Tomboy, in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood, serves up fun yet sophisticated American food with a twist. The restaurant is gorgeous and comfortable, and their drink menu is to die for, including some delicious and extravagent martinis and other cocktails.
They feature live music every Thursday and frequently offer drink and dinner specials. This is a fun place to go with a group or even on a romantic date. Service is excellent. I don't know why this restaurant isn't a bigger deal, but it is to me! Very highly suggested!

EVERYTIME IVE BEEN TO GRUNTS THEY TREAT ME LIKE A KING. THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE FOR LINCOLN PARK AND THE SANDWICHES ARE EXCEPTIONAL. IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU NEED OR DONT LIKE, THE SERVERS AND THE MANAGERS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE THE CORRECTION. MY SON WHO WORKS FOR COLDSTONE THINKS GRUNTS SHAKES ARE THE BEST HE'S EVER HAD. IM NOT A BIG FRY GUY AND THEY, THE FRIES, DONT LOOK THAT GOOD... BUT I DONT USUALLY LIKE FRIES ANYWHERE. TRY GRUNTS ON A WEEKNIGHT WHEN THEY ARE CROWDED AND U'LL LOVE IT
Pros: burgers and service
Cons: not crazy about the salad bar

On a recent trip to Rock Bottom, I got a chance to look around before I dined here. I checked out where they brew their own beer and saw the pool tables and the rest of the restaurant. They have souveniors in front and they sell any variety of their own microbrew. The meal was hearty American style. The service was very good and it was a relaxed atmosphere on the evening I was there, although I know it gets packed on weekends.

Wow! Pops is where I tried Taittinger champagne for the very first time. What a fabulous recommendation. Pops is a unique place with an undescribable atmosphere. From jazz, to champage, to wine tastings. Pops for Champagne is full of character. Not only do they have a gazillion champagnes to choose from, but also an incredible selection of fine wine and a creative cocktail list. Pops is an all time favorite.

Every time I visit Chicago, I dine at The Four Farthings. Usually I eat the crab cakes which are exquisite. Last time I ordered the talapia which was the best I have ever had. The vegetable selections are delicious and very fresh...I usually order the green beens. I think they must have invented "wine by the glass" because their wine selections are numerous and reasonably priced. It is great fun to eat outside in the warm months and experience Lincoln Park dining at its finest . It can be busy but I never mind waiting. The bar is always fun. I have reserved the private room on several occasions for birthdays. The staff has always gone out of their way to make our event successful. I really am looking forward to the next trip to Chicago...this summer I hope.
Pros: Delicious food and wine and great ambiance

I was extremely impressed with this place! I went there expecting an average sports bar/tap and was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door! The decor is very interesting: dark, cozy, interesting "artifacts" everywhere. The smell was incredible! The menu is your typical run of the mill bar menu...fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches etc...But the taste is by no means typical. The portions are huge so while a meal may be 13 bucks, it's really like 2 meals when you factor in your leftovers! I'm not much of a bbq person, but when the friendly server suggested the brisket because it's their speciality I thought I had to try it. It was AMAZING!!! The fries it came with also had a unique spice to them. Nothing about the meal was less that extraordinary! The service was incredible as well. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu (including the hundreds of beers) and the manager even stopped by the table to chat and check up on us. What I liked the most about it though, was that it was genuine. It didn't feel like the kind of over-the-top, fake friendly service that gets annoying. They just made honest suggestions and were genuinely making sure that we had a great time. I will absolutely be back and would recommend it to everyone!
Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service
Cons: can't think of any
