Happened upon this place while visiting Chicago, and all I can say is WOW, what a great concept! Upscale, friendly, clean, and great bowling, not to mention the fabulous martini list. The bartender was very cordial, and he made a knockout 10Pintini for me. Though it might be pricey on weekends, with Metro Monday, my son and I had a couple of hours of great fun for very little money. This will definitely be a must-visit place on every trip to the Windy City, and my son, a very talented bowler, says that Southwest can count on his bringing his bowling ball on the plane each and every future trip, because he will be definitely return to 10Pin.

4 Taste is a great restaurant that serves mini plates, like tapas, only without the Spanish influence. The food is more gourmet. Most plates are $10, and you will probably need 2 plates per person in your party for a full meal, so it can get expensive, but it's also a fun restaurant for a drink and appetizer. The restaurant is very trendy, and just fun to be there.
There is another location too, on Walton, just west of Michigan Ave.
Pros: great food, variety that you don't find many places
Cons: pricey

My boyfriend and I came for Sweetest Day and had a fabulous time sitting at a two-top drinking an amazing bottle of Pinot Grigio and snacking on gormet pizzas. Our conversation quickly changed to beating each other in a game of Scattagories and Guess Who? Loved the relaxing, romantic atmosphere that is more masculine than some of the other wine bars we've been too. Could have done without the couple at the bar making out, but hey, it happens.

I love Turkish food and I have been to other Turkish restaurants but it was more Mediterranean/American/Turkish food but A La Turka Turkish Kitchen was great authentic Turkish food and the service was great. I think this is a great place to go with friends and the portions are very large for sharing and the price was very decent. It is also a great date place as it is a cozy and very romantic setting,
Pros: everything was pretty great..the food, the price, the atmosphere
Cons: I like my food sizzling hot

A famous pub in the city that's just as well known for live music (local and national acts) as well as for being a traditional Irish bar. They have live music almost every night on the main stage. They feature Irish bands as well as Indie and Alt. Rock, & Blues. Each time I went, I had an excellent time. I have also had the pleasure of performing here. They have a great menu and start serving food at lunchtime. I recommend the fish and chips and a pint of Harp.

This is really an incredible place to see a show at. They have two rooms - the concert hall and a bar next door. The admission in the bar is almost always free. The concert hall admission varies depending on which acts are performing on specific nights. I like the Abby because its easy to see the stage and hear the band from anywhere in the club. Drinks are pretty cheap too.
Pros: Easy to see and hear any show you attend
Cons: Its hard to find if you've never been there before
