I went with a group of four to celebrate a special occasion. Our service was absolutely flawless. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were great. I have heard that this place was full of tourists and not to go there. I disagree. The food was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was crowded but enjoyable. I would recommend this to all local Chicagoans. It is great!

I'm only Sixteen so my word may not carry much weight with the older crowd but i love Wrigley Field and there is no other stadium where that many fans will show and support a team when its forty degrees out and raining. if you've got a problem Wrigley Field then go and get your head examined or leave it alone so others can enjoy it. i love the people and the team and i hope Wrigley stay exactly the same.

Service attentive - diners name given to waitstaff - service is good and prompt without being oppressive. Servers answer questions - do not upsell or oversell. Steaks (hers- special Filet; mine 14 oz Sirloin} were just outstanding and cooked to perfection. A "small" side of au gratin potatoes ($5) easily enough for two. Drawback is wines by the glass list - seriously overpriced. Hard for diners, in this day, to pay $11-12/glass (Chateau St. Michelle Merlot) for something you pay less than $20 for @ Sam's or Binny's. Avoid the cheaper wines on the wine by the Glass list (the Alderbrook Zin @ $8 is really mediocre).
Pros: Steaks perfect - food quality excellent - great service
Cons: Wines grossly overpriced

We've only been to Chicago three times and already it feels like we've gotten into a habit of going to Billy Goat's.
When we've flown over from the UK and are tired and jet-lagged, the tavern is great to go on our first night for a carb fest. We love the 'cheseborgers' and the chance to sit and watch the world go by.
Of course it's not the cleanest, flashiest place...but there's loads of those kinds of places elsewhere.
Go, enjoy and know you've seen something bit different.
Pros: atmosphere, food
Cons: whats not to like?

There food is great and the sangria is soooooooooo good. :-)
I can't say I've ever had a bad experience. And there is always a wait but well worth it. Try the gambas de ajo yum!
Dont go anywhere else or try another place. This is it people. lol

My boyfriend and I ate here over the holiday weekend and even though the prices were a little high, the food was amazing!! The waiter we had doted on us all night long and even though it was pretty crowded we didn't feel like we got lost in the crowd, as you do with some other restaurants.
This is a great place to go eat when you want to splurge on a meal but it is expensive for 2 when you have drinks and a full meal.
It is a MUST to try while in Chicago.
Cons: price

The food here is awesome! I had spicy tuna rolls, and they were the best I've ever had. My sister had california rolls, and those were good too. My brother had cooked crab rolls, and I liked them. It was the first time I've everl liked crab.
I was very impressed with our waitress. She was quick and smart. I let her know I didn't want sugar in my mojito, so she went through the trouble of mixing Sweet N Low into it for me. Most places let me do that myself.
The atmosphere is great...very trendy. It feels like a club and makes you want to stay there all night. The bathrooms are even nice and trendy.
It was a tiny bit expensive, but it is Chicago...so what do you expect? It is not overly expensive.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Price

I went to Dragonfly for dinner on Saturday. We had a reservation for 7 at 8pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes once we got there because it was a full house. The manager bought us our first round of drinks because it was my friend's birthday. That was one of the nicest gestures any restaurant has ever extended to us. Usually you only get a free dessert (which we also got at the end of the meal). The food was excellent. We ordered the Honey Walnut Prawns which was highly recommended from our server and it's one of the best dishes I have ever had. I will definitely go back just for that dish. The decor is gorgeous and the unmrellas on the wall was very unique. One con was that it was a bit noisy in the restaurant. Everyone was talking very loud. Next time I will try to go on a less busier night.
Pros: Honey Walnut Prawns, decor and manager bought us 7 drinks!
Cons: Noisy when a full restaurant

I have been to Japonais 5 times since i have moved to Chicago and every time I can justify money spent on really good food. The Salmon Japonais and the Chilean sea bass appetizer are my favorites on the menu. The sushi of course is always good. If you have a wait, you can go downstairs to the lounge and have a drink and order apps. good place for groups or date night. Yum!
Pros: Fresh sushi, entrees are really good, atmosphere
Cons: Parking (but there is valet for $12)
