I needed new tires for my car and had no idea where to go. I chose Ashland Tire and Auto based on their stellar customer reviews. All of the other tire and auto places had exceptionally bad ratings.
When I walked in the door I was immediately greeted with a 'Hello! How may we help you?' Good sign. I only had 3 types of tires to select from, which was fine by me. Expecting an hour long wait or more, we went to lunch. Exactly 36 minutes later, they called stating the job was complete. Wow, that was fast. The place was packed too - I definitely was not the first (or probably 5th) customer waiting.
The biggest surprise was my bill. I expected them to charge me for the full hour of labor (~$100). Instead, they charged me half, because that's what it took. They didn't nickle and dime me either with the taxes and all of the other miscellaneous charges they like to throw in. My overall bill was $100 less than I expected.
I highly, highly recommend Ashland Tire and Auto.

I have had amazing experiences at Lucas Tire. I am always treated so kindly, the staff is personable, helpful and knowledgable. Rich will go out of his way to ensure that every customer is completly taken care of. Since my first trip to Lucas I have never taken my car anywhere else, and never will.?

After a fender bender the night before, I brought my car in first thing in the morning to assess an antifreeze leak. I got in right away and Louis was extremely nice and helpful. Totally for free, he walked me out, popped the hood, and explained to me that the damage was with the radiator and that if I wanted the chance to claim it, I should call my insurance before he investigated further or removed any parts. He explained to me that if he went in and found more damage, that the insurance might not cover anything. So instead of just going in to fix it without telling me this, he probably saved me a ton of money out of pocket ( I initially thought it might just be a busted hose or something I could pay out of pocket...the damage with body work was actually about $1500 so I'm glad he advised me of this). After finding it was an insurance job, another guy who worked there quickly tried to recommend his friend's shop (R&N Complete Auto Repair) who would tow the car, repair all the damage, and save me the deductible or more if I had them fix it. Since his friend's place was not approved by my insurance, I didn't know them or their work personally, and it would be 3 days to get a separate insurance estimate, I decided against it. But I did have R&N's tow guy tow me to the insurance approved dealer (C & W Auto Body...also Very Good) and the tow guy (Raul) was really nice.

I'm telling you, Pong Imports can handle any problem. I was having trouble with my '03 Lexus ES300 and brought it to Pong's because my friend had recommended the shop to me when her car had broken down. She had told me that they were just as good as any dealers but without costing me an arm and a leg. I trusted her and handed my baby to them. They were absolutely phenomenal. They were first rate and explained to me the possible causes for the problems and asked for my approval before doing anything to my car. They even gave me tips for better maintenance and were honest about the repairs. These guys have earned my trust 100%!

Note to this and a couple other Murray's locations in Chicago: Can the people who hire these employees also recruit for all other businesses in the area??!! I don't know where they find these folks, but Murray's consistently employs the most honest, knowledgeable and friendly people in retail. I wish ALL businesses had such great customer service. This particular location alone has saved us probably thousands of dollars by giving us great advice and avoiding rip off mechanics. They have some nice deals and a good selection at all the stores, but their staff makes this place very special. Thank you, Murray's!!

I have taken my car in here many times before to get various things done, like wheel alignments and oil changes. The people here are great. I don't need to make an appointment and I can walk in and get quick, fast service. The mechanics here are great too; also many of the things they do are now computerized, which is cool too. Their also not too expensive, which is good because I'm always doing stuff to keep my car in shape and running smooth. These are mechanincs you can trust.
