I'm from the east coast and I must admit that one of my complaints about Seattle has been the lack of good lunch spots. While Quiznos is simply a fast food sub shop -- I think they do that pretty well. They have more selection than Subway -- and aren't as cheap. Nonetheless, it's a decent place for a quick bite to eat.

Unless you're a contractor, you'd never know that the big brick building on Stone Way is one of the best-stocked electrical supply shops in town. Don't be intimidated by the gruff exterior - pull in around back and belly up to the counter.
You can't browse the aisles like you can at the big box stores, but if you know what kind of electrical supplies you need (everything from fixtures and cable to tools and controls), they've got it on hand, and for a great price. Even an electrical novice like me can come away with just what I needed (with a little help from the patient folks behind the counter). Recommended.

i had dinner here last night, and was completely surprised by the calm ambience, the gaggle of late night diners, and the great food. my main course included 2 ravioli as a side - they were so large they took up 1/2 the plate! i'd never heard of this inconspicuous place located on market st in ballard. however ballard is becoming the hip/hop happening place...

More
This hole-in-the-wall cafe is rarely busy, probably mostly because of its unfortunate location at the north end of the U. District Ave - within two blocks of a Starbucks *and* a Tully's, and there are about 5 other coffe shops south of the Ave, closer to the main University campus, that probably take most of the business. However, it is without a doubt better than either.

Up until recently, I would have given the Perkengruven a 5-star; however, the baristas have changed recently, and although the coffee is still good and artistically presented, they no longer do coffee art with the foam (something I really liked - seems to be a sign of someone who loves coffee & knows how to work with foam). However, they have local artists' work for sale on the walls, and the regularly changing art adds a nice touch of atmosphere. Still my favorite coffee shop on the Ave., but not by as much of a margin as it was 6 months ago.

Chris at KDH Consulting is who I use for any technology problems. He can take care of ANYTHING and, though his rates are high, always seems to make the bill reasonable. He's very popular, so sometimes I have to wait to get help, but he's super efficient, friendly, professional, and a great "go to" guy for any computer problem.
