I've been coming here regularly every month since I moved to Seattle, almost two years ago and felt I finally needed to share. I look forward to my visit every month. My eyebrows are always perfect because of Jessica and if I splurge to get my nails done, they are always beautifully done. Not much else is needed to say; I love the people who work there, the atmosphere and the end results. Why wouldn't you choose this place? PS: You too will fall in love with King when you meet him! I play with him everytime I'm there!
Pros: Great services, Great staff, Convenient location
Cons: Absolutely none

One of the best resturants in town. Food is excellent. Try the gnudi appetizer. The celery/pear soup is well executed. Squash risotto fantastic. The dining room is small and inviting. Service was top notch and unobstrusive. Go for the food, relax and enjoy your dining experience.
Pros: Food, Service, Cocktails
Cons: Parking in Beltown

I went to 13 Coins early on a Saturday evening (before 6 pm) and was seated right away. We sat at the counter so we could watch them cook. We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer and it was WONDERFUL! They did not overcook it as most resteraunts like to do and the dipping sauce was perfect! For entrees I had the Steak David - Filet mignon topped with fresh crab and served with Hollandaise sauce on the plate. I could have had just the filet and been just as happy. The Filet was cooked perfectly and it practically melted away from the knife. It came with pasta which I don't eat. But I'm sure if I had asked for a substitute it would not have been an issue. Also ordered by my party was Veal Parmagiana and another steak. Everyone raved about thier food! Desert was Creme Brulee and I couldn't have asked for better. They fired the top so that there was a nice thick shell. No soft spots which always leaves me a little disappointed.
The highlight was being able to watch the kitchen staff cooking. We were seated near the Head chef and he was entertaining and didn't seem to mind answering our silly questions about what they were doing. He cracked a few jokes and the whole staff seemed to be having a great time working, which really goes a long way in the overall dining experience.
I will definately go back... and soon!
Pros: Entertaining, GREAT FOOD, family friendly
Cons: Can be spendy depending on what you order. But always worth it.

I went here for the first time this past weekend as a change of pace from my regular sushi place, and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. My eyes lit up as I ate the Albacore Nigiri, which is the best I've had anywhere in Seattle. We tried a few other pieces of nigiri and ordered two rolls, all of which were delicious. The sake menu was impressive as well, with an entire page devoted to sake! There were easily over 20 different types of sake to try.
I will definitely be adding this place to my list of sushi joints.
Pros: Variety of Rolls, Long Sake Menu, Friendly Servers

The Melting Pot is the perfect location to take a date for a special occassion. It might not seem like a lot of food, but you can get one of the complete meals which will fill you up. This was pretty pricey though (about $80-includes appetizer, entree, dessert). But the food is GREAT and you never get tired of the same dish because you get a variety of different sauces and foods. What's more romantic than preparing your meal together?! This dimly lit restaurant has romantic seating which is isolated or group seating fo a more vibrant experience. If you do go for a special occassion, let them know in advance and they'll leave a rose on the table and take a complimentary picture of your special someone and you.

We love this place !!! We have been going for years.
The prices don't change very often. This year the prices did go up, just like everywhere else. I heard that their cost went up about 20% but they only raise their prices by 5%. The 3% credit card charge is just a way to pass on the credit card charge that they pay. I think that it is great that they accept credit cards at all. I've heard that business owner pay rediculous amounts for accepting cards.
The food and service is worth every penny. The flavors are the same as they were when we discoverd Gorditos years ago. No matter how long I've been going there, my favorite is still the chicken fajita wet burrito (sometimes steak is my favorite). The burrito hasn't changed a bit, flavor and size. They did come out with a smaller item menu last year, and you can order your favorites in a smaller version. I still order the regular and take home leftovers, but this is a super nice option.
Thank you Gorditos !!!!!
Pros: Great food and great service
Cons: none
