I have visited Cafe Zum Zum since it opened in 1991. Let's not classify it and say it is an Indian restaurant or a Pakistani restaurant --- let's just note it for what it is A GREAT PLACE FOR A WORK DAY LUNCH. The owner, Shaw, is a gracious proprietor. The food is YUM! I have the mixed veggie curry and the chicken and garbonzo. This place is not trying to win culinary awards ... yes, the food has 'grease' . . . yes the menu is limited BUT THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL AND IT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK FOR MORE.

Joe is amazingly caring and knowledgeable. He has an extensive experience in physical therapy.
His approach is based on intense listening and observation. He helped me become aware of my body, postures, habits and how to remedy its weaknesses with a focus on strenthening the core, improving basic range of motion and building strength where it is the most needed first to restore balance of the muscle systems.
I worked with very decent personal trainers at the Pro Club in Bellevue for years. They never came even close to understanding my body's issues (e.g. why my knees hurt) as deeply as Joe did. Rather than recommending more stretching, which is what everyone else recommended, Joe showed me how some weaker muscle groups were not doing their part, resulting in higher strain on others and creating the pain in the knees. Years of stretching had only made the problem worse.
Joe was recently named one of the top five trainers in Seattle and one of the top 100 trainers in the United States (Men's Journal Dec. 2004).
You can see his bio at http://clubzum.com/a_team.htm.
I should also say that he is not cheap. But he helped me design a workout session that i can do on my own (even at home). So i dont need to meet him twice a week as i used to do with my trainer at the Pro Club.
He is in high demand so you may have to wait for a while.

The staff are great, the selection is excellent. The bras are pricey but well made and really pretty, I will will definitely be returning.

Zoka is a wonderful place to study or telecommute. However, that's no big secret. The big, roomy tables there are almost always full. But if you get there early in the morning, you can settle in for a productive day. There are tons of outlets and free wi-fi. The coffee is good, the baristas are award winning and the pastries are tasty.
