I am a college student, and I really like the haircut that Miss Cherry gives me. Cherry owns the salon and cuts hair herself. She is very friendly, and her price is very reasonable (I paid $11). Definitely recommended, Cherry knows her stuff.

The hours are amazing at this place! 12Am till 9pm. Yeah.. midnight until 9pm... meaning they shut down between 9pm and midnight. Crazy, eh?
Even though they call it the "hip hop barbershop" (because of the hip artwork and the music) they cut all kinds of hair, black people, white people, asian people. As a black guy, I hate going to new barbers because they always screw up my hair. The guy I went to was incredible... did a perfect job, I was amazed.
Price was right too.. i think it was less than $20...

Oh, call for an appointment so you don't have to wait, and make sure you ask for a particular barber. If you don't know one, ask when you call and get to know one over the phone so you don't have to wait.
One problem: I called several times during business hours to make an appointment and no one ever picked up except on the 4th attempt. I even left a message but no one called me back to confirm my appointment time even though the message said they would.

I'd like to second what the previous reviewer said. Jonna, the owner and instructor for morning classes, is such a great teacher. She gives every student individual attention, and makes the yoga session spiritual, but not in a cheesy way at all.
I came in as a beginner, and felt very welcome. I thought it would be intimidating to do yoga with experienced classmates, but Yoga On Beacon has an atmosphere of learning and cooperation.
I moved a bit farther North, but I still make the commute down to this studio because I enjoy the classes so much.

hubby and i have been using Eve for years. thought she was great from day one but that was cemented after we were in a bad car accident and she helped us both - i swear i'm not sure i'd be walking were it not for her. she was put on this earth to heal people.
i recently had the best damned massage EVER from her. she's always good but MAN was that incredible. afterwards i was literally stumbling around her office trying to get dressed. couldn't even drive right away, i had to sit in the car and let the cold air hit me for a few minutes first. if i had more than a mile to drive, i probably would have had to taken a nap in the car before i could go.
and with eve you get the entire 60 minutes, not the "spa hour" of 45-50 minutes. her office is located next to key arena and you can park at the qfc.

I just wanted to say that I just just went to the cutest salon and spa in my neighborhood (Madrona) the other day. Not only are they a fully functioning salon and spa with man's and pedi's they are totally kid friendly and they are right next to a Cupcake Royale so you can just bribe the kids with a cupcake either to sit through your haircut or to sit still through their own. I'm also looking forward to a spa thing they have called "Mommy's time-out" or something like it. I get to sip tea while I get my brows done and get my legs waxed and massaged and I can hold my baby the whole time. So anyway I just wanted to let all the other mommies know about it because we work hard and we deserve something nice every once-in-a-while.

I'm from the east coast. This is by far my favorite place to get my nails and toes done. The staff are well-trained and friendly. Their acrylic nails are always perfect - no matter who I've had do them there. Pedicures are just as good! Very highly recommended?

A massage that has long lasting positive benefits does exist and the magic hands of Dan Christofferson delivers healing. Does that sound cheesy?? It may for words can't even describe how Dan's work has changed my life: 6 years ago I was told that I needed an invasive knee surgery that would result in me having to stop all the activities I love (roller blading, skiing, hiking, biking). So, I went to Dan. I would describe what he does as postural reconstruction as he has essentially changed the way I move and hold myself. He calls it Heller Work. Whatever it is I am healthy, more active and without pain than I ever have been.
In all honesty he has given me my life and my mobility.

Search JudysBook for Team in Training and look for their brochures in area businesses. I was only able to run 2 miles and I hated every minute of it. The thought of completing a marathon was simply out of the question. But it always nagged at me because the thought of completing a marathon would be such a HUGE accomplishment for me and to check that off my list of life accomplishments brought tears to my eyes. I found Team in Training and the experience was so awesome that it will always have a special place in my heart! 3 marathons later, I am loving the program, the life-long friends that I have made, and believe it or not, I now love the running!! The program offers you comprehensive training for an event (1/2 marathon, full marathon, triathlon, etc.) and they connect you with a honor patient for which you run for (an honor patient is someone who has survived, or is suffering from, Leukemia or Lymphoma). In exchange, you fundraise for the society. It's a win/win and will leave you with a lifetime of memories. My first marathon was in London and I am still in contact with my honor patient and run every day with my training partners.

I have been studying with Planet Earth for years and Laura and group are in a word the best. I have had neck and upper back trouble and this class has helped me enormously. Laura is not only a talented teacher but she is a good human being, one of the best people I have studied with, ever.
The first class is always free. I always walk out feeling more peace and my body always says, thank you!!! Try it, its an amazing class.
The room is light and airy. The yoga community who uses this studio are terrific folk.
FYI: As a breast cancer survivor I highly recommend others like me study yoga. It is a tough to go thru that and this class will help you with your survival. There are plenty of smiles for all.
