This is my family's favorite place to go for breakfast. I don't know what some of the other reviewers have been smoking, but this place is very family friendly. It's has a relaxed atmosphere, so if your kids make some noise it's no big deal. Also if your kids make a a mess, the staff takes care of it without giving you the evil eye. It has a very funky and eclectic decor which is also fun for the kiddies.
But there are also many other reaons to "graze" at Mae's. The breakfast menu has a great selection of omletes. I my favorite is the Smoking Joes with mushrooms. The plates are big, so you might want to consider a "baby" sized omlete, which is a little bit cheaper. Also, the Cinnamon Rolls are delicious. I am always tempted.
The staff is very friendly, many of them have been there for years and know their jobs. I see that someone complained about nose rings on the waitstaff. ??? I think they need to get out a bit more and try and break out of the 1950's bubble they seem to be living in. I don't know what that has to do with the food or the service.
My one complaint would be the espresso drinks. At this place I stick to the drip.
On a nice week-end morning the wait can get a little long, especially if you don't arrive until 10am. If this is a problem for you there is a place down the street which always has plenty of open tables. But I would rather wait for a table at Mae's that get a seat at a half empty place.
Pros: Food and freindly staff
Cons: So popular at times that you may have to wait.

This is NOTHING like coldstone. The Mix has its own aura and the ice cream is completely different. It may look scroungy on the inside but the service and ice cream is well worth the wait. I haven't been to Coldstone since I discovered this place. The best part about it is that its open really late! I highly recommend this place if you looking for a late night treat.

I don't splurge often, but when I do, I like to go to Cold Stone. The ice cream is made fresh daily, which is delicious and SUPER creamy. The mix-ins are good, never stale. All in all, this is a great place to splurge and treat yourself.

YUM! I liked the fact that the custard is not super sweet - a welcome change from ice cream. A regular size comes with two scoops. I selected two scoops of vanilla with brownie pieces as a topping. YUM!

I love Royal Grinders. If you are looking for a good sub in seattle, this is the place to go. Hidden behind the Lenin statue in fremont, this place has a good deal: one sandwich and a free drink! The sandwiches are around 7 bucks, however they are very large, I rarely can eat the whole thing and like I said you get a free drink. The subs are beefed up with lots of tastey ingredients, and they all have a delicious "secrete sauce" that comes on them. The staff is very flexible, if you would like to add or subtract anything. The owner is very chill, he makes a point of remembering his regular customers and he also makes a point to be at his resturant often to ensure the quality of his product and service. I have tried many items on the menu and have had no problems yet!
Pros: Delicous subs,great quality, good price, friendly service
Cons: not too much space to sit

Okay, so yeah, that was a joke, but in all seriousness- Ben and Jerry's Phish Food (and other flavors, I suppose) have graced the world and fulfilled our empty-calorie needs for some time now. If you still have not tried this icecream classic, I'd suggest a quick trip to the grocery store to grab yourself a guilty carton.

Now if you wanted to feel like you were in Europe, then this is the place. There's a piazza where you can enjoy your dreamy, creamy dessert and then you can write a letter telling your friends that when they come and visit you in exotic Fremont, you have just the place to take them! I know one of the owners and it makes it even more enjoyable to go to Postmark Gelato. White chocolate basil flavor is my fav. but I try to keep the dairy levels down (they have a few sorbets, which are non-dairy). It's just a cute place! Go there!
