UW Medical Clinic on Roosevelt has several great pediatricians working out of it, with whom you can't go wrong. Also, the nurses there are all top notch - fun, qualified, warm, very nice people who make unfun things like shots for kids and filling out forms all feel like no problem.
We use Christine Caldwell and have very much enjoyed her upbeat demeanor and warm personality. Recently, we had to take our daughter to meet with another of the doctor's in the practice there, and he was very solid. Overall, a great clinic and you can't go wrong with whichever doctor you choose for your family and pediatrician medicine needs.

We were lucky to have Dr. Johannsen and the NW Women's Heath Care Associates for the birth of our son. Pregnancy is awkward enough, but I knew we would be just fine in their care. Any question or concern that I had were answered in a professional and timely manner (even the silly ones).
They went above and beyond to make our expectancy memorable and special for everyone. Dr. Johannsen did an unscheduled ultrasound so my parents (who were visiting from out of state) could see their newest grandchild.
I can not say enough good things about NW Women's Heath Care team.

The doctor with University Chiropractic, Dr. Ray is without a doubt one of the most gifted chiropractor's that this 58 year old person has ever known. And I've been to see many! He was able to adjust my low back and stop the achieness I was experiencing. I very much appreciate his work with me and I feel 25 years younger. Thanks, Dr. Ray! I'll be back again just for a maintenance adjustment as I feel like it keeps me in balance and its good for my immune system.
Pros: Willing to go the mile to find out answers to complex questions
Cons: none

I love this place! The office is soooo cool & hip. Dr. Zimmer himself is very caring & thoughtful as to what his patients want and or need. He's not trying to sell you dentistry. He gives you options, some kind of expensive, some not. The office cat is the most well behaved creature and well dressed @ that with her COACH collar on! She's definitely a downtown cat! The front office is very helpful, when I had issues with my insurance company paying for a visit I had they were right there to help me figure out what I had to do to get them (my insurance) to pay. I was a witness to a patient having a fit because the girls @ the front asked for payment when the visit was complete which I thought was ridiculous. I mean seriously, when you go Nordstroms to buy a suit, do you have a fit when they ask you to pay for it?? Anyway, thumbs WAAAY up for this office. FYI: They are booked well in advance, so make your appointments before you have a crisis.

I have been to many dentists in many different parts of the country, but I have never found one who is so thorough, caring and gentle as Dr. Hamada and his staff. The office made me feel very comfortable with
with their business like attitude, punctuality and enviornment. I feel that Dr. Hamada isn't after my pocket book by over treating or with theri fees. The filling that I got was very painless and done fast and efficiently. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to check Dr. Hamada. Steve M.

Good: At age 66 and having been injured from head to toe, with little help from medical doctors Paul has a passion for his work and listens to your concerns. he is compassionate, and understanding. He's worked with helping me get warm as I've been so cold all my life that nitro glycern was used on the tops of my feet to get
circulation going--didn't work but
Paul used moxa that did. Paul also
worked with my bad knee, stomach, shoulder and lower back and in five treatments I'm a differnt person.. Bad: There isn't anything I don't like about Paul, just wish medical doctors
would listen as he does, and answer
the questions I ask as to why he does what he's doing. Medical doctors sometimes give you medicine but never explain exactly why you are taking it and I want to know why and he explains why on all he's doing if you ask. Paul was recommended to me by my former acupuncturist who is far away. He's well trained for my needs and has been able to do more than my last one.. Improvements: I can't think of anything as he's also
gotten me to look up and understand
Chinese medicine tied to acupuncture
more--and always nice to learn.. Other: If you've not found the answers to your medical problems before doing any
surgery. I'd try acupuncture and Paul would be a great start. I'd scheduled surgery on my
knee and two visits to my former
acupuncturist I canceled surgery, my
husband had allergies for 6o years before going to acupuncture 8 times and never had another bout with his
allergies. A friend age 84 was having memory problems so she went
twice and exercised as advised and her
memory is so much better she is still diving and active.

Brett is an INCREDIBLE eye doctor -- he addressed all of my problems and explained to me everything that he was doing. He is very friendly (although geeky and very cute) and I would recommend him to anyone. He has very high tech equipment and gave me a prescription that gave me much better vision than my former prescription, although I doubt that my eyesight changed. I was concerned about dry eyes and Brett gave me samples and a list of different products that might help me and explained why some products are better than others -- he obviously wasn't pushing one brand and only wanted to help.
I highly recommend Capitol Hill Vision to anyone for eye exams or contact lenses. I didn't get glasses, but the selection of frames looked very high quality and not very expensive.
