My wife of 20+ years and I had a wonderful time here. From the friendly service and good wine list to the superb food and pleasing presentation. We could have been in Paris.
Pros: Intimate dining
Cons: Not a place to bring young ones

I have been coming here for years and I have always loved what was on the menu as well as the location and the service. However the last time I visited Ray's was exceptional. The service was great throughout the night and when my keys were locked in my car by the valet (downside of the night) the bar tenders were super friendly and I got drinks and dessert on the house. I highly recommend the bartender Ben K, he was very friendly and made great drinks, and he was just fun to talk to. Overall, great visit, although the valet got no tip.

I try to go to a new restaurant once a month, and this month was outstanding. First of all, the view facing Seattle is amazing, along with the Marina in front. Beautiful ambience and interior with a waterfall at the entrance and blown glass pieces. Our server was very friendly- not pretentious at all. He was extremely knowledgeable of all the items on the menu, as well as wine to compliment our meal. He claimed that they had the best crabcakes in Seattle- and he was right! No bread stuffing at all, fresh crab and excellent flavor. I had the king salmon roasted on cedarplank and it was excellent, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented on the plank. My friend isn't much of a seafood person and had the duck which was also very good, nicely cooked with crsiply skin. Overall excellent. Last month I tried the Waterfront and this blew it out of the water!
Pros: Food quality
Cons: A Little pricey, but worth it for fresh seafood.

Cactus has simply succulent food that will make your mouth water when thinking about it. I've been there several times and everytime they have outperformed themselves. The prickly pear mojito is refreshing and their margaritas delectable. It is a little bit pricy for me, but definately worth it for special occasions. I think they would do really well if they opened another location downtown, because Madison Park and West Seattle are a little out of the way for a lot of people.
Pros: food is heavenly, drinks are divine, interesting and fun space
Cons: sometimes is quite busy and seating may take awhile

Working in the Udistrict, the food is great, but can get a little tiresome after a while, so once in a while, I'll take a short walk across the bridge and head to Le Fournil, they have the best and freshiest crossiants and other desserts that are not only beautiful, but delicious as well. The prices are not bad for the quality :). It's also very cozy! I have yet to try any of their sandwiches, but that will be my next order for sure :)
Pros: best pasteries/bakery

My wife and I had lunch there, we had reservations for 11 am, and everything was wonderful. We were informed that the chef had been replaced the previous week, we were there on 4/19/08. We shared, Ahi tuna tartar, a wild boar, bacon and lental soup, I had the peper crusted smoked salmon, my wife had the crab melt and we finished by sharing the lava cake. We each had two drinks and the bill was $170.27 before tip so you have an idea of pricing. View was wonderful, it takes about an hour to make one revolution. The wait staff was knowledgable and frendly, as was all of Seattle. We were not expecting much from the other reviews here and were very pleased with the outcome.
Pros: everything was just as it should be.
Cons: When the restaurant is not fully loaded with people it can have a minor yet noticeable lag time in the rotation, my wife could not feel it until I mentioned it.

I have heard great reviews from friends and family so i thought this would be the perfect place to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We were very pleased with the service. Our waitress was awesome and we even had another employee come by several times to pick up dishes or ask us how our food was (and it wasn't overly annoying either). The food was perfect too. My husband had the french dip with sweet potatoe fries and i had the chicken taco salad. Both were excellent! oh and I wont forget to mention the delicious bread they make themselves that they serve while you are waiting for your food. Our food and drinks were also served to us on a timely manner as well. I also liked how you can have some good quality food with great ambiance and not have to dress up so fancy. you wont feel awkward going in there with jeans and a hat on. We will definetely be going back!!

Awesome food , large portion sizes , great presentation , fabulous Rum bar , make reservations. That being said , I was looking for a place that was within my budget. And this place fit the bill! The first time I went I was overwhelmed by the amount of food you get for the price. The waiters/waitresses were attentive without being obnoxious. I go there quite often with friends and on dates. It's a great place to have dinner before heading over to Jazz Alley. I have only had one bad experience where the wait staff were virtually none existant. That evening just to get a drink we had to practically get out of our seats to ask for one. And the place was not busy....so go figure. I do recommend reservations on Friday or Saturday night if you are going to be having dinner. And the Rum bar is small and gets packed fairly early , so be prepared for standing room only. Needless to say it's one of my favorite places in Belltown.
Pros: Great food and drinks
Cons: No parking
