I was very impressive with the service I received at 7 in downtown seattle. I greeted with a nice silk robe to change into, the group of stylish dressed hair designer (all dressed in black and white) stood around discussing my hair color. Labeling my hair as a level 4 then the lead stylist pronounce that I was actually a level 5 hair color and then suggested that I go lighter and even out my highlights from my previous coloring. I got a free lattes and a piece of dark chocolate. Jayne was a my colorist and she was so friendily and patient. It took over two hours to color my hair and she lost count of how many foil she put in my hair. The salon was very spacious and hip.

Of walking out of the Vain Salon with a new hair cut or color. From conservative to contemporary, Vain's highly skilled stylists always seem to get your hair perfect. I remember my very first VAIN haircut, my hair had never bounced that way before, I had never been happier. They're not as pocketbook friendly as most salons but the feeling you get when you leave is worth every penny. You also get a free trim for the next three weeks after your appointment. I can't wait till I need my hair cut again!

I found Joey through a referral from one of my friends whos hair always looked fantastic. He scheduled a consultation for FREE, then I came back for a cut and color. He listened to me so well and made suggestions based on what I was saying. I ended up with a cut and color that I love! He is very good at hair, and customer service. His hair studio is amazing, and relaxing. I already have my next appointment on the books!

I was Christmas shopping downtown Seattle when a pleasant guy approached me, and asked me if I wanted to be a hair model. It was very flattering. I have never had anyone ask me about hair modeling. I am certainly not what one would describe as cover girl beautiful, nor do I have the easiest hair in the world to work with. He promised that he was not a stocker, and that I could google his name, and Salon, and read about his pride in coloring, and cutting hair. After checking his background I decided to wrangle the courage to let him go ahead. So I called, and we settled on a time, and day. He told me that I had a really good neck, and that my head shape was perfect for a collection of work that he was training with. I left looking like an art piece. I work in the city, and he told me that people would notice my hair. I left home for the holidays to Washington DC, and people in both airports have complimented on the blonde color, and hair cut. My mother, and sisters were amazed. I haven?t written reviews in the past, but just wanted to check in, and say thank you to Tim for a really nice start to my 2010.

The food is excellent, place is beautiful, and the service is good. We went early on a Saturday right at 5pm because we couldn't get in at any other time. The waitstaff was very attentive, knowledgable, and professional! The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's not a white linen type of place. It feels more like an upscale trattoria you find in Milan or Florence. The seating for 2 looked a little close to each other but very European. This was the best bread I've ever had in my life, which sounds silly, but all the bread is baked fresh that day. From Breadsticks (soft breadstickes topped with seasalt and rosemary), unsalted tascan bread, and foccaccia served with olive oil and fennel salt. We started with the peach & thyme bellinis which were delicious . Then there was the Chefs Little Bites antipasti, which were cured meats, cheeses, a few different pates, pickled vegetables, grilled prawns and some type of friend polenta. We were a group of 4 and shared some risotto as a starter (made with saffron rissotto and a fresh red sauce) with Lobster. . I had the swordfish special then theothers had, pasta and wild boar. All were very good. For dessert there a complimentary birthday tiramisu which was light and airy.. All in all it was a perfect meal. well-paced, comfortable and delicious.

You wouldn't believe the number of compliments that I get on my haircut and - especially - the color. Stephen is extremely professional and fast. I have a terrific graduated bob with a base color and two foil colors - all reds. It's a rich tone-on-tone effect, like those silks that change color depending on how the light hits them. He's also great about mixing things up, a little change here and there to keep me from getting bored. My hair has never been healthier or looked better. By now, I've also seen many clients that he's just finishing when I arrive. Everyone comes away with their own look because he listens to them and has great range. We look like who we really are - except even better.

I love this place. Originally from Seattle I look forward to eating here every time I get a trip home. Amazing service, probably the best steak and ceasar salad on the planet and a relaxed atmosphere for how nice of a place it is. Incredible!
