This store is small but packed inside with goodies. The name says it all. They have a section for used books and a section for all of the newest novels. The staff is knowledgeable about their inventory and obviously enjoy reading. This is not a place where someone just takes a summer job to look up books in the computer.
There prices seems as reasonable as anywhere else, so why not support local businesses???
Again, with Fraizer the parking is around back.

A Novel Idea is located on Frazier Ave., tucked in with lots of other nice gift shops and restaurants. It is a dying breed of bookstore, it's not a chain, just a locally owned, small independent bookstore with helpful employees a cozy atmosphere and lots of great books. You won't find the selection that you would at a Barnes & Nobel or Borders and there isn't a Starbucks in it, but that's not why you go to a bookstore like this. At A Novel Idea, the employees have actually read a lot of the books and love books - they love talking about them and recommending them to others. You'll find current popular titles here, as well as regional authors, books on the South and books by lesser known authors that might be hard to find elsewhere. The store is easy to get to and has free parking in back.
