Ray's Splash Planet is an affordable afternoon adventure. It is run by the Mecklenburg County Parks and Rec Department. It is affordable for the family to attend. The features are a big pool area with a shallow area for the younger children and deeper water for the older. There is a huge water slide and a lazy river. There is also a small area with water basketball. Overall, this is a good experience. However, it can be very crowded at times.

I absolutely love Paramount's Carowinds! The price is a little high, but if you have the opportunity to go more than once in a season you can get a great deal on a season pass. There are so many rides and attractions to enjoy. They have a Nickelodeon area for smaller kids to enjoy as well. They also have some awesome food! But I'll advise you that it's not cheap either. Be prepared to have lots of fun and be prepared to walk!

Lebo's carries a wide variety of shoes, clothes and things for your horse. I purchased a saddle from them years ago and have gotten really good service out of it. They often have shoes in narrow widths when no one else does, which is great for me. There is always someone in there to devote their attention to you and help you find what you are looking for.

My visit to Lake Norman was unbelievable! Such amazing homes are built on this lake, and the lake itself has beautiful scenery and the water is very clear. There was not too many boats in the area that we were in, and we were able to find plenty of spots to have privacy. This was a very relaxing day on the water and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a mini vacation 20 minutes from Charlotte!

There is truly something for everyone at Freedom Park. From playgrounds and more for the kiddies to museums and running trails, this is a huge park just waiting. Plenty to space for picnics and barbeques available. Lots of tables too! They host some great music in the amphitheater and the art show once a year is well worth it. Just a couple of minutes from Prices Chicken Coop – take your take out here!

Earth Angel is located is a not-so good section right off Independence a little before the Brookshire Freeway exit. The bars on the door/windows will make you feel very safe. Actually, once inside you’re fine. It’s definitely not getting great points for cleanliness or orderliness, but it’s a got a nice sized selection of bikinis, club-wear, fantasy/costumes, and the like. The prices were a little high in my opinion, except for the bikinis. Lots of girls who work for clubs go there, so if you’re just a regular person like me you may feel a bit out of place, just get in and get out. Three dressing rooms, complete with blacklights (haha).
