If you're looking for a quick and cheap mani/pedi Nails & Spa on Selwyn does just fine. I do agree with the other review that a manicure w/o soaking your hands isn't typical, but the pedicure does come with a paraffin wax! I get my eyebrows done there every couple of months and have been very happy with that service as well. I'd recommend giving this salon a try if you're looking for a new place.

Elegant with beautiful gardens & gorgeous neighborhood. We stayed in 2 rooms (3 nights). The Nisbet Room (fanciest) had been double-booked for the first night. They put us in a different room for free for one night & brought champagne. 1st room was on the 3rd floor & was not that great. There was a roof window, but we couldn't see out it very well. The Nisbet Room was all we had expected!! Beautiful!!! Huge with gorgeous furnishings & a screened-in porch (shared with the room next door), complete with a porch swing. Breakfast included. Some of the staff had impeccable customer service & others just weren't up to par for that level of accomodations. There may likely be a party or reception on a weekend night. They allow children -- so you may hear kids if you stay in the cheaper rooms on the 3rd floor.
Pros: elegant, romantic, beautiful neighborhoo
Cons: service unpredictable, not great small rooms

I am transplant from the North East who has worked with several trainers...one's who I thought were the best. After recently moving to Ballantyne I started up my workouts with a trainer at Fitness Together. Carlos has surpassed every expectation I have about a trainer. His knowledge of the human body and working out is unbelievable. I could go on and on...but I hope you catch my drift. This will sum it up, I had to wait 6 months for one of his early AM slots to open up (I worked out with him at lunch time until then).
Also, last week he was out of town and I worked with 2 other trainers, and they were great too. They run a great ship at Fitness Together.
Pros: Great Trainers, Professional, Well Organized

The Voci spa expanded out into the suburbs, and now has a location in Stonecrest Shopping center. I like the Voci, but I wish the spa would branch out and do hair styling, coloring, etc... You can get most spa treatments at Stonecrest. They do traditional Swedish massges, stone massage, deep tissue, prenatal etc... massages. Some of their massage rooms are equipped with small space heaters, which I appreciate, as it can get a bit chilly otherwise! They also do nails, but I have to say they have very cramped quarters for the nail services. I feel like I am being put in a closet when I have a pedicure. They do a good job, however, and the service is always very friendly.

This Bally could use an update with more modern equipment and facilities, and MORE machines. It has like 2 ellipticals and 10 treadmills that face the windows. Some tvs would be nice, and a bigger building. It's kind of expensive for what you get. The other Bally's on South Blvd has more equipment to use.

Phyllis teaches Iyengar yoga, incorporating tools to help even those with physical limitations get the most out of their sessions. I lowered my bloodpressure 10 pts and lost 17 lbs on yoga alone!!!!
The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff are fabulous!!!
Pros: great workout and left feeling serene not beat up!
