I have been buying chocolate from Kilwin's for more than 6 months. The selection is fantastic with the chocolates being my favorite. if you like chocolate, ice cream, twizzle sticks, fudge, gumballs, swedish fish - you are in the right place. The selections are too vast to list here- but a visit to the store, located in the Ballantyne area just off I-485 and Johnson Rd, is well worth it. Ask for a sample of Rocky Road or Peanut Butter fudge. Peruse the holiday and gift baskets. Just go, because this is a great place to quench a sweet tooth.

Ben & Jerry's ice cream has been a staple in my fridge since 1992 when a shop opened up near my college campus in Greensboro, NC. I have been a faithful fan, even when on my diet.

I often go to this Carvel and have always been happy with the service!
The other day I was picking up an ice cream cake that I had ordered at 9pm the night before - the teenager taking the order was very friendly and polite - and it was ready when I went to pick it up the next afternoon. The manager/owner was really helpful, too. It was still in the back and she went out of her way to volunteer this information to the teenager looking for the cake and she went and brought it out for me.
We have had team parties there and after game ice cream nights and have always been happy with the service and the ice cream is always delicious!

A tradition in our family is to go to White Lake, NC at least once a summer. We always get a chocolate covered cone and see who can eat theirs not only first but who can finish theirs without dripping a drop. The quality of the chocolate and the vanilla soft ice cream always made this race so much fun - especially against my "Little" brother, Craig Hardee. Even today (I'm close to 49 yrs. old), my husband, daughter and I engage in the same race and it's even hotter now than in years past. Dairy Queen has been a family tradition for 2 - 3 generations.
Pros: cool shop, prompt service, great cost
Cons: crowded (good!!!), personality lacking

the ice cream is great, but i would not recommend going on a weekend during the summer unless you want to stand in line for an hour! teens working seem to purposely move slow...understandable but very frustrating for the customer!

Have to agree with the previous review. I have been to Maggie's once and will most likely not go back. The prices were outrageous and the ice cream was nothing to write home about. No exceptional flavors. The best part was the cup that you got to keep that would change colors whether is was warm or cold. Other than that, go to Brusters down the road and indulge. Service was fine but ice cream shouldnt cost more that a few dollars! I think the shake we bought was between 5-6 dollars for about 20oz.

Been here a couple of times. Each time I am shocked at the price for the ice cream and the little amount you get. Yes, the flavors are decent (this is the place where you get to choose your own toppings to get mixed into the ice cream) but just too expensive. Service has been so-so, usually a couple of teenagers around without any supervision waiting to get back to talking with their friends. The Cold Stone in Rock Hill is much much better and worth the price!
