First off, I would like to say that the furniture in this place is not all that bad, but I refuse to shop, much less buy from this store after the horrible treatment from a manager there. My experience started out ok, as I was greeted by a sales woman, who proceeded to help me with what I was looking for. She showed me around the showroom, and I was asking her about all kinds of product (poor girl, it must have felt like an exam test, but she was so helpful!), but I stumped her on one question. She went over to ask her manager, where she had to wait because he was talking on his cell phone (and it was obviously a personal phone call!). She asked him the question, he rolls his eyes at me (hey wait, I am the customer here!) and his co-worker! As he is answering her question he also is extremely rude to her in his tone. I was taken aback by the tone he used while talking to her like that for no reason. I was amazed at the professionalism she maintained during this whole moment! I interjected to ask another question, he then started talking rudely to me as well!!! At that moment I then decided I would thank the sales woman that helped me and leave the store. It's amazing how one person can ruin a shopping experience. Pros: Nice, modern furniture. Very "Ikea like" Cons: Parking was dificult and the place is hard to see from the road compared to its competitor across the street.

We recently purchased furniture at EQ3. We're on a budget and so it took several visits before we finally bought something. We found our salesperson (young lady) to be very helpful and professional - and not pushy, which is a total turn off for us. We could not take our furniture on time because of construction delays - and they were willing to hold it for a few weeks. All in all - a very good experience and we'll definitely go back and recommend them to our friends.

I LOVE the furniture I purchased from EQ3 however I wish it would have been delivered as promised by the owner. He failed to inform me that some of the items I purchased were custom-made and would take over two months to recieve them, even though they were shown on the floor. If i had known how disappointed I would be with the pretentious employees and poor service, I would have GLADLY gone across the street to ByDesign. If you enjoy sitting on the floor with no furniture for weeks, then I would reccommend shopping at EQ3.

I recently purchased furniture at Eq3 in Charlotte - and my experience was totally different than what has been described earlier - they're a new company so maybe they've improved. My furniture was delivered as promised and I needed some help assembling the furniture. Much to my surprise, the owner offered to come out and help me - for no extra charge! I would definitely go back and I guess that's saying something...

I originally posted a not-so-nice review of EQ3 because I had had a difficult time with a furniture delivery, which was mostly just due to misunderstanding between both parties. The manager actually ended up giving me 50% off the dresser, which was a very nice deal and nice thing to do. I avoided the store for a while, then I had an issue with two of the drawers breaking in the dresser I bought. A little nervously, I went back to the store and spoke with the same manager. Even though my dresser was no longer under warranty and I am sure he didn't have very fond memories of me as a customer (!), the manager of the store was extremely gracious. He put me in direct contact with his warehouse, where I was able to drop the drawers off. A repairman fixed them there in less than 4 hours. I was very impressed. I had been expecting to go into the store and be told never to come back! So... please do check out EQ3. They are back on my list of very cool places to shop in Charlotte; definitely the most chic furniture store I have seen around here. And after what we went through at first, I can truly say their customer service level is now classy.
