Tangierino Restaurant in Charlestown bills itself as a "casbah lounge" and it is hard to disagree. The interior is decorated lavishly with silks, cushy pillows, jewel tone colors, and lanterns. It's a bit over the top if you ask me, but others seem to like it.
The food here is Moroccan and it tends to have a lot of exotic ingredients and spices. The couscous dish that I had was excellently flavored, but was a bit expensive ($17 for just couscous- no meat). The service here is very friendly and it’s an excellent place to go eat if you wish to not sacrifice comfort.

You cannot judge the content of the book by looking at its cover. Same with Tangierino. The outside of the restaurant is quite plain, just a brick building but the inside is truly amazing. I thought I entered some sort of Middle Eastern palace. Richly decorated with rugs and Moroccan lamps, one will enjoy seating there before the food arrives. A magical experience as in 1001 nights. Service was prompt and pleasant. Food was good though portions could have been a bit larger. A great choice for a romantic date.
