I received an awful color job at another Chapel Hill salon and Jessie at Mina's saved me! I had two-toned black and yellow hair when I came to see her. She was personable, listened and communicated with me about what I wanted, and even made time for me that very day! My hair looks beautiful and blended! If only I had gone here first. It was worth the money. And thanks to Courtney for that excellent shampoo :). I would highly recommend this salon.

I went to Mina's and it was terrible! The atmosphere in the salon is not relaxing at all, my stylist did not give me the cut I asked for and my highlights were terrible! After explaining that I wanted 3 different colors and that 1 of them could be light, but that I wanted VERY LITTLE of the light color she proceeded to use 2 colors, 1 of which is almost exactly the color of my hair (I guess when she "matched" it to the hightlighted hair maybe she looked at the wrong color????). Anyway, I told her immediately after drying my hair that it was too light and of course she did the prerequisite, "no it looks really good" I called back the next day to arrange another appt to fix the color as we had arranged and they tried to give me an appt 1 week later! HELLO you screwed up, you should fix it immediately and with the same services (blowdry) that originally came with the service I paid for! Everything about this salon was a hassle and I will never return!

I have visited Minas Studio several times and have always been impressed with the business. The receptionist is always friendly and welcoming when you enter the salon. Alejandra has always done wonderful work with my hair. She has cut, permed and frosted my fair. I have always looked much better after she has worked on my hair. I have also had my nails done there and have had a massage. I have been very pleased with all of the services that were performed there. It is very good that they are open seven days a week so everybody can be served. The parking is great-don't have to drive around to find a place to park. All in all, visiting Mina's Studio has been a pleasurable experience for me. Try it! You will like it!

It's so hard to find a good salon where the stylists are good, the environment is nice, and the people are friendly - well I found it here! I admit I went there first because of all the great reviews and press they got (they won best salon in the Triangle by Independent, Citysearch, Chapel Hill News along with other awards from Chapel Hill Herald and other places). Being an online techy I like that I can book my appointment online through their website www.minasstudio.com - save me time and hassle of calling in. They have everything too - from hair styling, manicures, massage, facials, make-up, bridal, etc. I love being able to go to one place. Another thing that is big with me is good parking and flexible hours (they're open 7 days a week with evening hours!). They were convenient for me living in Chapel Hill but my Raleigh and Durham friends say they are convenient as well since they are not too far from Hwy 40. Once you find a good salon, it's worth a 20 minute drive! I had my hair done by Alejandra, and she did a great job. I was greeted when I came in the door and was treated great by everyone I encountered while there. I came back later and had a massage with Heidi who did a wonderful deep tissue massage. Also recommend Martha for manicures and Gabriela for waxing. Thanks Mina's Studio for making my day a relaxing and enjoyable one. I look forwarding to seeing you at my next salon visit soon!

I went to Mina's Studio not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, but I walked out with a great, new color and a fantastic haircut! I get stopped all the time by people complimenting my hair. Also, I got my eyebrows waxed while I was there, too (no time like the present to pamper myself) and I was shocked with what a great difference it made! The salon is really clean, efficient and everyone was really friendly and made me feel at home. I will definitely go back.

I wanted to try something new. I wanted my haircut to be very very short sort of like a boy cut but in a girl kind of way. I came upon this place and when they were done with my hair it was spectacular! It had that short cut, yet it was still stylish and able to be styled. I thought it was a great look for me and I love this place!

I was pleased with my haircut when I went to Mina's. I had a very friendly stylist who did exactly what I wanted her to do. I was afraid to try a new place since I just moved here, but I will definately go back in for highlights when I need them. The salon was modern and really made you feel like you were in a big city right in the heart of Chapel Hill.
