Cafe Driade is a very chill place with good coffee, good authentic beer, and good wine. The best thing about it is its location, in the woods. You can sit outside on a nice day. The atmosphere is very European in my opinion so if you're looking to getaway from the fast-paced Starbucks, check out Driade... if you can find it... ha just kidding

The employees can be a little snobbish in my opinion. They tend to have that "too cool to work here" kind of attitude that can be a little aggrivating. Maybe I've just been on bad days, but I find myself wishing they'd leave the 'tude at home. Other than that, it's a great shop.

Cafe Driade is a great place to study and hang out with friends. It's surrounded by trees and a little off from the road, so it's seems a bit isolated. It's a popular place to study, and you can either sit inside, or enjoy the nice trees outside. There are also several trails behind the cafe which lead to Bolinwood Creek Trail, or who knows where.

This coffee shop is tucked away, off the beaten path of Franklin Street. It has great coffee and teas. And has an amazingly calm and cozy atmosphere/location. It's a great spot to relax and read a book, do a crossword puzzle or hold a conversation. It's a great place to go when the weather is nice--you can sit outside on the porch or at the tables in the woods. The seating inside is limited so during the winter you might want to get your drink to go unless you want to brave the cold. If you walk the Bolin Creek trail, I was told that there is a path from the trail up to the coffee shop.
I highly recommend this coffeeshop!!

What can I say about Caffe Driade? Only that it is the absolute best coffee in the triangle! Their barristas have won numerous awards for excellence, and the amazing array of caffeinated creations available from this little gem in the woods prove their merit. Regular "drip" style coffee is always available in a number of different varieties and styles, but my favorite is to order my own french-press style pot to steep at my table. The Driade Shake is out of this world, and everything I've ever had there has blown my mind (and this is coming from a serious coffee addict/connoisseur). You know you're in the right place for an espresso when the people behind you in line are actually from Italy! Driade often hosts live music in their beautiful cafe, surrounded by trees and lush forests well off the main drag and away from the undergrad-haven further up Franklin Street. I cannot recommend this cafe enough - it's simply delightful in every way.

Caffe Driade is a hidden gem in Chapel Hill. Located on Franklin Street, but far away from the hustle and bustle of campus, it can be hard to find (the sign is small, and not too well lit at night) but it's worth it to turn around if you drive past the first time.
I had the best latte in my life here, and the atmosphere is very cool. It's quiet enough to read a book or study, as many of the patrons were doing, or to have an actual conversation with your date. When I went, it was too cold to take our drinks outside, but there is outdoor seating, which some brave souls were taking advantage of.
Highly recommended, especially when they are having an art show (very frequent).
