Located in the renovated downtown area of Champaign (119 N. Walnut St.) is an interesting restaurant that is unique to the area. Radio Maria is in my opinion one of the best restaurants in all of Champaign-Urbana. They have an extremely diverse menu that leans toward fusion cooking. The presentation alone is worth the visit. The décor is unusual; tabletops have collections of odds and ends under the glass. This is a great place for “date night”. I wouldn’t take young children here-they won’t like the menu. They do have some outdoor seating and are located in the part of Champaign that now has several nice restaurants and bars. We like to eat inside, and weather permitting have an after dinner drink outdoors and people watch, or listen to music at a nearby club.

Radio Maria is a fine restaurant establishment where people can enjoy different types of cuisine. The food ranges from Caribbean to Vietnamese and the service is incredible. Although it is a little pricey, the atmosphere, quality of food, and service are all worth it. The Sunday brunch menu is not as extensive as the weekday lunch menus, but it offers a variety of foods that are not too heavy and not too light.
