I grew up in Chicago surrounded by the BEST Deep dish pizza in the world. Short of Lou Malnoti's and/or Pizzeria Due, Papa Dell's is the best! Sausage and Mushroom's for me and i am all good. Come prepared for a LONG wait if you go there to eat on football Saturdays, its always best to get it to go or delivered anyway. Enjoy the Garlic Loaf with cheese too!

Papa Del's Pizza is my absolute favorite. An authentic Chicago style pizza in Champaign is one of a kind. This pizza is so good, that the night after my daughter was born, my wife had me go get one and bring it to the hospital so we could enjoy a nice meal. If you do not call ahead, be prepared for long waits. Papa Del's is more expensive than the other local pizza places, but it is worth it. Coming soon, there will be another Papa Del's opened in southwest Champaign.

I love Papa Dels Pizza. I especially love their Chicago style pizza. I have never gone in to Papa Dels but I hear it is a really cool place. I an only tell you about their delivery service which is great. Although it takes almost an hour to get you pizza it's Chicago style it takes a lot longer to get you pizza cooked just right when it is deep dish. There is a awesome selection when it comes to their menu. Three different kinds of pizza, Sicilian(good), Thin(really good) and super stuffed(awesome). They also offer salads, Italian dinners, sandwiches, subs and appetizers. On the down side they do not take credit cards when you order delivery. I understand though they don't want to be stiffed. You can however go in and pick it up and use your card. When I call the person is nice and clear and I never have a wrong order. The prices are a bit higher than other pizza places but it is so worth it. They also give coupons, little menus that when you get 20 you get 10 dollars off but we have never been able to save up enough before they expire. I am sure others have been able to though.

Pluses: Great atmosphere and WONDERFUL deep dish Chicago style pizza, good drinks Minuses: Slightly expensive, long waits for a table, very long waits for pizza Go here when you have a lot of time on your hands because you'll have to wait for a table forever and then even longer for a pizza. hey, deep dish takes time! order breadsticks while you're waiting so you don't starve to death! seriously though, this place is SO worth the wait. the pizza is just wonderful. very filling, so you'll have leftovers to take home!
