It has a very high APR checking account. It is above 2.0% and there is no limitation. It is not as high as other online banking but it is local and the feeling is more safe. Yet they have only two locations and is inconvenience for many students. I think this is why it is not as popular as other banks around here.

The price of car insurance might be the lowest in the town. Usually it can be combined with property insurance. The combined one is even cheaper than the others. The attitude is great. They mail reminders to you when the insurance is expiring. If you are a good driver, your insurance could be reduced a lot.

We decided to move our accounts to the University of Illinois Credit Union because they seemed to have good rates and low/no fees on accounts. I think that the service there is great. I like there hours of operation (and the free suckers). I don't like the $1 fee that we get charged sometimes when we use our debit card. Good choice overall.

We had State Farm for our car and renters insurance before we moved here and the people that worked in our agent's office were awesome. They were very friendly and helpful. We thought that the people here would be the same, but unfortunately they weren't. I had a hard time getting a call back every time I contacted them. One time there was a discrepancy in our bill and it took almost two weeks to get it worked out. To top it off, they canceled our car insurance because we had too many claims (one break-in and three broken windshields). The agent we went to finally told us that they would like to keep us as customers since those weren't our fault, but we had already found cheaper insurance through another company.
