Zorbas is one of the few places in Urbana-Champaign that you can get gyros. They have both the traditional gyros but also offer chicken gyros as well. They also have a wide variety of appetizers, my favorite being their fried mushrooms. It is however a little expensive, so go on a Tuesday when most things are half off! Don’t forget to try their chicken fajitas!

While the food is good, the service MUST improve. We ate dinner on October 30, 2009 and watched on couple walk out because it took so long to get their food, another table let the waitress know she would not be getting a tip due to poor service and our pizza came out wrong. We were offered an apology, but not offered to have the pizza redone. The price you pay for pizza her should warrant better service.

I tried the pizza. It was so delicious. They serve beer and wine. There is a huge, big-screen TV on one wall -so it's a great place to watch the big game. The decor is contemporary with bright, bold colors on the walls and ceiling. Upside down umbrellas are used for accents. Different touch.

Za's is cheap, convenient and delicious --- what more could you want? I love the spaghetti and pizzas and they are always adding more options like Pick 2 or soups or something. Their 100% fruit smoothies are great too!
Pros: great food, convenient, cheap, drive thru, smoothies
Cons: sometimes understaffed so takes a while to get food

If you like having 5 gazillion choices, Za's is the place to be. Za's unique ballot order form allows you to create just about any sort of pizza, pasta, or panini you want. There is nowhere else I know of where I can get a pesto-gouda-apple-walnut-italian sausage pizza.
Confused by the choices? They have easily chosen "favorites" as well.
The pizzas are thin crust and feed only one person, but they are generous with the toppings. The paninis are large and the bread they use is quite good. Overall, it seems the ingredients they use are high quality.
The atmosphere is quite nice, especially the upstairs area, which is divided into several cozy lounges.
The main compliant I have is that for a restaurant that has order ballots to save time, actually getting your order can take quite awhile. Maybe that is a byproduct of all the choices you have, but it certainly isn't a great place if you are in a rush.

World Harvest market is a locally owned store that provides a variety of foods ranging from Chinese herbs and spices to European treats. The selection of chocolate covers an entire aisle and would be heaven to any chocolate lover. They also offer a huge selection of herbs and spices that can be used for cooking as well as a variety of rice and grains.

As someone who grew up on Korean cuisine, I was delighted when I came to the U of I campus and discovered what could be called a plethora of Korean restaurants. Out of all that I have eaten at (and I've eaten at pretty much all of them), my favourite is by far Woori Jib.
The dining room, if you would like to call it that, is spacious enough to accomodate its customers. There's really nothing fancy about the interior, but that has no bearing on the food.
The menu has a great selection, featuring a large variety of Korean food, from meat to noodles to soups to rice dishes and everything in between. The food is well-prepared and cooked upon order, guaranteeing a fresh meal. Prices are fair considering the quality of food, but it is a little inconvenient that they do not accept credit card, so make sure you have cash on you when heading out to Woori Jib.
The service is prompt (it takes no more than 15 minutes for food to be fully prepared) and extremely friendly and helpful. Menu is written in Korean with Englih translations available for those who can't read hangul or for those that would like a description for foods they have never tried before.

Wonderdogs restaurant offers great-tasting, diner-style items like hot dogs, gyros and brats. There are daily specials, but prices are good without them even. The service is very fast. Diners can eat in, in which case food is brought to their table, or they can get their orders to go. Wonderdogs is close to the engineering quad, and is great for grabbing a bite between classes.
