It located in the center of the campus. Easily accessible from everywhere by buses. When you walked into the store, you will find not only textbooks but also souvenir. The price is relatively high. Sometimes you may find outdated books on sale for several dollars each. But when I was trying to find a greeting card, I could not find any.

This bookstore is operated by an old couple who love books. This bookstore is also one of the local favorites but there seems not many people actually go there to buy books. They have a lot of social science and philosophy second hand books. They also have some very old downtown postcards. This bookstore seems to be there for a long time. Sometimes I am wondering how they can survive. But sure that I hope they can continue to exist.

IUB is the easiest and best place to go to get your textbooks. They always have the right books for the right classes, labeled and organized in a way that makes sense. It can get a little crowded, but what bookstore doesn't at the beginning of each semester. They also carry nontextbooks and have a pretty good selection, along with apparel, calendars, posters, school supplies, etc. What I always loved was that they do free gift wrapping at Christmastime, which is so great if you have Illini fans in the family. The prices are a little high, but it's worth it at this store!

I usually visited TIS because they had the cheapest textbooks and would pay the most for used textbooks at the end of the semester. They also have a huge selection of Illini and Greek themed clothing, and usually have some kind of buy one get one free deal with t shirts.

I believe that once youve visited one waldenbooks book store you have visited them all.
I think they all must have a master lay out of where every item should be. Yes, that can be good if you know you want to grab a certain book and be done with it.
But I enjoy browsing, and waldenbooks just is not big on patrons who browse.
Just not my preference for purchasing a book. I like to look before I purchase.
