Tomaso's is what it is--a small town bar and restaurant catering to the locals. It's apparently not for everyone judging from the plethora of negative comments. It's crowded, noisy and there is no table service. It's part of the atmosphere and the rough charm of the place. My wife and I have been several times and have always found the pizza to be very good--in fact the best around these parts. We have not found any of the staff to be rude--a little rough around the edges perhaps--but hey this ain't Bartolatta's. If you like this kinda joint, where you sit next to strangers, strike up interesting conversations and enjoy good honest pizza, this place is for you. If you are looking for personalized service in a more subdued setting go somewhere else.
Pros: Food, atmosphere
Cons: A little pricey but worth it.

Nothing beats Maxwell's on a Wednesday night! Taco's for $1.25 each that are so delicious and huge you want more - but can't fit it. Excellen bar atmosphere in quaint Cedarburg. Great brews, great food, great price, GREAT FUN! Yum!

I called Wendy from Minneapolis (yes, she answered the phone) at 4pm and asked her to deliver flowers on the same day. Though her drivers were all out, she said she'd deliver the flowers herself on the way home and my mother would have her arrangement in 15 minutes. She also remembered hearing the name, found that my sister-in-law ordered flowers from Seattle and made sure we didn't send the same thing. Nice touch.

I would probably drive about 10 hours for these caramel apples. Honestly, they are the best! They're huge, and freshly dipped daily (I think they still do this), and only $6-8 bucks. You can't even compare these to any apples at a grocery store or Marshall Fields.
Amy's also has delicious confections, chocolates that are to die for. Mmm... I'm not kidding. If you like sweets, you have to come here. Great place for gifts too.
It can be hard to miss if you're not looking out for the store front. It's got a big glass store front, and it's located next to the Chocolate Factory on Main Street.

The Cedarburg DQ has been around for a long time, but a few years back it moved to this new location, formerly a Burger King with a playland.
Now, of course, many parents with kids visit McD's or the occasional BK-with-playland, but it does get boring. DQ is the perfect alternative. You have good quality fast food (it's not McDonald's!) and you have a very large playland for the kids to play in. What's not to like?
There are a few minor downsides. The playland, while not heavily abused, looks like it hasn't seen any repair since BK left. Occasional repairs are necessary to keep these things in top shape, and sadly, this doesn't look to be happening. That said, it isn't in bad shape, and the uniqueness of the facility definitely offsets this.
The restaurant staff has been friendly and the food quality maintains a more consistent (and better) quality than many other fast food locations.

I have had take out food from New Fortune Chinese restaurant, and it is very good. We especially like the egg rolls and the pepper beef. I don't know much about the actual restaurant, as I always have the food at a Tae Kwon Do tournament that my children participate in.

Rich's is a small, old diner in need of a facelift. However, the food is good and the waitstaff is always friendly. The broasted chicken and Friday fish fry are likely the most popular menu items and can be ordered for carry-out. Smoking is allowed and can trail into the non-smoking area.

This little stop has it all...gasoline, fresh deli items, Cedar crest ice cream, and most convenience items you would need in a pinch. The deli girls are exceptionally friendly, and you can count on the food here being top notch. At holiday time, you can order your main dish meat from here as well. The deli itself is worth the stop. This is a very clean and orderly store. Don't be afraid to check it out.
