I called J Anthony out about a week ago now because my air conditioning went out. They got to my house in 45 minutes if i would have called anywhere else it would have took at least 4 hours (thats what I was told when I called The General and HSC). So when they got to my house it took them about a half hour to fully diagnose the problem and they found that the compressor went out. They gave me a great price on a new one and had it installed within the next couple of hours. Since then my AC has been fantastic. I love J Anthony. Those other two that said they had bad service have no idea what they are talking about, they're probably just the type of people that like to complain about every little thing. But anyway J Anthony is Great.
Pros: Great Customer Service, Very Skilled In There Area Of Work
Cons: None

On April 21, 2009, I called J.Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning because my fan on my Heat Pump unit was not working. Their representative showed up around 5 pm on that same day, after going on the roof and examined my unit, Matt, J.Anthony’s representative told me that the unit had wires hanging that were not connected and the fan was lose and that the parts in the unit, which was a Train, had American Standard parts in it. Matt told me that he could not even get parts for my unit; Matt convinced me that I need a new Heat pump unit and that they could install a new unit the next day, April 22, 2009.
Matt convince me to purchase a Goodman unit 13 seer 3ton, which I was ok with until I started doing some research after they had left. On April 22, 2009, J.Anthony Company showed up to uninstall the old unit and install the new one.
J. Anthony’s rep., not sure of his name, went on my roof to uninstall the old unit; instead, he uninstalled my neighbors unit. I was not on the roof but I could see they were on the wrong side of the roof to reach my unit, I repeatedly told the tech that he was uninstalling the wrong unit, at least 4 times I told him. The tech refused to listen to me and proceeded to disconnect my neighbors unit.
After the crane and the Amana unit were brought to my house, they had discovered that the crane was not big enough for the job, so it would have to be scheduled for the next day. The tech told me they were just going to leave my old unit disconnected, I told him again that I was sure they had disconnected the wrong unit and when my neighbors got home we will find out..
A few hours later on April 22, 2009, my neighbors can up my stairs because he was told by another neighbors that the air conditioning man was up on the roof, and his unit was not working, which by the way was a 2 years old Standard American unit.
I called J. Anthony and told them what had happened; they sent the same tech out to reinstall my neighbors unit.
On April 23, 2009 J. Anthony was at my house at 8am to install the Amana Heat pump unit, it took from 8am till 1:30pm to install the new unit.
When my old unit was brought off the roof I asked Matt to show me the lose wires and lose fan, he could not show be any of that, to this day I believe that all my old unit, which was only 8 years old, could have been fixed with out buying a new one.
I also was having J. Anthony install a new return vent in the ceiling in my house, they told me it would have to be ordered and may take a few weeks.
I was also told by one of the owners of J. Anthony’s that at the time they install the new return vent they would do a walk through, to make sure the job was done.
On May 5, 2009 I called J. Anthony and talked to one of the owners, Kevin I think, he told me the vent had not come in yet but it should be here any day.
On May 5, 2009, I received a call from a J.Anthony tech that was at my house to show up for an appointment I had between 10am and 11am, I was never told that an appointment was set up for me.
I called J. Anthony the same day and was told they just set up an appointment for me.
I made another appointment for them to come out on May 9, 2009 between 8am and 10am.
They arrived at 10:30am, once the return vent was installed, I went up on the roof with Matt the tech, to find that the condensation pipe was not connected not only on my unit but on my neighbors unit that they had disconnected by mistake. Since all the air units where connected to the same condensation pipe three of the air unit had been disconnected.
There was trash left on the roof from the installation, parts of the pallet, and unused tape.
Matt told me they would send another tech out to complete the job, instead of finishing himself. Matt called his boss how must have told him to finish the job, because he was going back on the roof as I was leaving.

Wanted a 4 ton air conditioner unit they talk me into 3 ton, after a year of nothing but problems and adding 3x freon into the unit maybe because they dropped the unit when they installed it and it still does not work it never shuts off and the temperature rises instead of going down, I was told by the salesperson my duct system was not working right which they should have told me up front since they were under my house. Well I went shopping around for new ducts since they do not do that kind of work. 6 different local well known companies came over with estimates. They all said unit is too small for the square footage since a 3 ton actually has a 2 1/2 ton compressor for energy saving purposes which only cools a place of 800 sq ft. mine is 1100, because the output thru the ducts is sufficient enough and it also probably has a leak since you do not add freon into a brand new unit 3x. I have been getting the run around with all those excuses of no insulation, leaky ducts etc. Now i am stuck with it and replacing it with a NEW 4 ton by another company for a LOT LESS money they have charged me to begin with. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT KNOW THAT A MOBILE HOME NEEDS A BIGGER UNIT TO COOL DOWN
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO NO GOOD STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY I SHOULD HAVE
