My husband and I looked at putting our son in the infant program last year. After what happened this week I'm so happy we chose a different program. A friend of mine applied for a job and was given a chance to "try it out" for the day. Although she has worked in daycare settings before she was new to this school. She was given no information and did not know the kids, yet she was left alone in the room with children for HOURS without any help! The school hasn't hired her, done a background check, and didn't even pay her for her day! They did not give her any information about the kids, their allergies, the lesson plans, etc.. She had to change a urine soaked sheet from a nap mat and yet does not know where to find the cleaning agents. When it came for the kid's snack time they never came in to make sure she knew what to feed the kids. She finally found some graham crackers and hoped that no kids had allergies. I cannot believe a school who charges so much would allow someone they didn't know to be in charge in a room. As a working parent of a young child I know how much trust you put into the daycare providers you hire. Do they even know who they are letting in the rooms? One additional comment, one of the teachers she was with in the beginning of the day spoke extremely rudely to a crying boy! The teacher was not about to console the child but instead told him to "keep on crying because I'm not going to talk to you". Really? Is this who you want taking care of your children? My friend is contacting the state in regards to her experience. The Goddard school director wanted to know if my friend wanted to come back tomorrow for another day (without pay again...to watch your children).

My Daughter has been in daycare the majority of her life since both her Father and I have extremely demanding careers. However, in an effort to make this time away from home pleasant for her and to give my Husband and me peace of mind…we thoroughly research the daycare institutions prior to enrolling her. Unfortunately, due to my Husband’s job, we’ve moved every year since her birth (therefore, we’ve known our fair share of daycare centers). Recently, we enrolled my Daughter in The Goddard School of Castle Rock. I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen my child happier in any other daycare center than at The Goddard School of Castle Rock. Not only is the Teaching staff superbly educated (most have a Bachelor degree and a few have their Masters in teaching) - but, they are amazing in helping children adjust! Ms. Kristin and Ms. Leesha have been able to completely understand my child. The change in my little girl has been nothing short of miraculous. Now, she is not only excited about going to school – but, she Loves her Teachers and new friends. The Owner, Mr. Morton, is amazingly kind and considerate and the Ladies in the Front office are just wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend The Goddard School of Castle Rock to anyone who truly values their child’s happiness, safety and wellbeing while attending a daycare center.
Pros: Amazing all around!
Cons: None
