I have been going to La Dolce for 8 years. The food has not changed in quality nor has the staff. This shows you the quality of La Dolce Vita...... feels like a little restaurant in Italy when you walk in. The great staff as well as fair prices makes this restaurant the perfect choice for Italian dining.
Coming from a NY Yankees fan and knowing the owners are from Boston .....the fact that I still recommend the place speaks volumes! You will not be disappointed
Pros: Great Staff and Owner and Even Better Food!
Cons: They need a place to wait outside ie: Patios, chairs

I heard that La Dolce Vita's owner has left, thus whomever is now cooking is not only not Italian but has no clue how traditional Italian food tastes. For example, do you put paprika in a bolognese sauce? Not an Italian sauce, that is for sure. I've only ever heard about La Dolce's food being good from people that have eaten meat dishes, but as for traditional Italian food - you will not find this here.

La Dolce Vita is on of the best Italian restaurants we have visited, anywhere! The food is as authentic as if you were in Italy, as are the authentic accents of several of the employees! They have many specials to tempt you further, so it never becomes dull or routine. The decor and ambiance is so inviting. I cannot do it justice, so I'll say simply, it is elegant and inviting. With the voice of an angel, a beautiful young woman will sing as you dine, drink and enjoy a truly unique night out! Children are welcome always, but it's a great place for a date night. Call for reservations and enjoy a suburban restaurant that makes you feel like you are on vacation!

We went to La Dolce Vita for dinner last week for our first visit. It was a wednesday night and we had no reservation and they were able to seat us promptly even though it was quite busy. We had a great experience overall. From the decor, food, service, wine and the singer; all of this combined together made this the real Sweet Life. We highly recomend this restaraunt to our friends for a romantic night out or a family dinner. There menu and atmosphere makes it enjoyable for everyone. Ciao

You wouldn't know it from the curb, but this little Italian restaurant is one of those rare places that has it all - romantic ambience, excellent service, and great food. We had reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday night, and we were seated promptly in the back room which was decorated nicely and very cozy. Adding to the romantic atmosphere was Carol McNeil who serenaded everyone with her lovely voice. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Cannelloni, and my husband ordered the Veal Parmesan, and both were very good. We also loved the garlic bread, and we enjoyed the triple chocolate cake for dessert. We will definitely be going back to La Dolce Vita for another romantic evening.

My food experience at La Dolce Vita leaves me not wanting to ever return. I ordered the bolognese. If you are unaware of what traditional bolognese is, I will tell you what it is not. You do not put parika in a traditional bolognese. There are variations, yes, but then don't tout your bolognese in an Italian restaurant as being Italian. The bolognese was a combo of ground beef/veal, a few vegetables, a sprinkling of peas on the top which looked dreadful and had no place in the bolognese sauce and no wine in the sauce (I was told by the waiter that they don't add wine to their sauce because they serve kids and obviously kids can't have alcohol. He obviously doesn't realize that the alcohol gets cooked out.) I pushed all the sauce to the side and requested a simple marinara but knew that the pasta had already been coated with the sauce, thus there would be no fix, but I tried. The waiter then brought me a small cup of their tomato basil sauce instead of the marinara, I hope, as I couldn't imagine them passing off what they gave me as a marinara sauce. Dreadful, just dreadful. I cannot believe that restaurant has stayed in business with that kind of subpar "Italian" food.
Pros: atmosphere is decent
Cons: food, horrible

I came here last weekend for a family birthday. It was very crowded and a tight fit but Wow... I know why. The menu has something for everyone..pasta seafood veal and not just the standard presentations on these either. Our waitress was very attentive to us and the birthday boy. The calamari was crisp, the mixed grill plate was a delight, and the chiati was like silk. My husband passed a piece of his pork around the table (a table of 10) he was so impressed he had to share. The espreso was a perfect ending to the meal.
Could have done without the lady singing Sinatra. You may also spend up to 20 mintues trying to get parking and there is no valet option.
Pros: Great food, attentive waitstaff, excellent wine
Cons: crowded, tight spacing, poor parking
