More
Pegasus Restaurant, owned and managed by John DeLay. Pegasus has been in Castle Rock for the past 18 years and in its current location at 313 Jerry Street since 1999. John bought a small stagnant Greek restaurant (he calls it "a Greek/American dive") on East Colfax in Denver 23 years ago. At the time he bought the original Pegasus, the Greek restaurant had added a couple of Mexican items to their Greek menu.
Since John moved Pegasus to Castle Rock in the 1980's, the Mexican entrees have grown in popularity until they represent fully one-half of all the sales for Pegasus. John has been blessed with a number of loyal long-term employees during the years he has been a Castle Rock restauranteur.
One of the most popular of the dishes at Pegasus is the Chile Rellenos. Head Chef, Gabriel Torres, one of the four Torres brothers who work at Pegasus, has perfected the art of the Chile Relleno over the 15 years he has been at Pegasus.
To see a streaming video showing Chef Torres make his famous Chile Rellenos, go to signaturedishesofcolorado and visit the Pegasus page.
John Delay is both blunt and passionate about his restaurant and its relationship to the town of Castle Rock. "Over the years I have watched families grow up. I have hired kids whose parents I have known since before they were born. That's the good thing about living in a small town like Castle Rock in Colorado."
Pros: Great Food, Warm Atmosphere
Cons: Sometimes the wait is long, but they are actually making the food from scratch!

My husband and I have always had a wonderful experience at Siena- the food is great (I love the chicken parmigiana on top of their house macaroni and cheese, my husband loves the steak) and the service has always been top notch for us. The manager is always at the front door greeting, and even has gone as far as to recognize us when we ate there twice in the timespan of about 10 days (with a, "Hello again!" which I thought was great!). It's one of our favorite places to go on a date night out, and it's also a GREAT place to take out of town guests to show them how the locals like to do it in Castle Rock. We love it, have been to Siena tons of times over the past few years (even for lunch now, which is awesome) and have never had any issues. There's only one thing I would consider taking a star off for and that would be their pizza- it's not my favorite, there are places in CR that do pizza better (like Anthony's or Stumpy's), and there are other things on Siena's menu that are definitely worth ordering over their pies. Everything else I've had, however, has been fantastic.
It's definitely my favorite place to eat in Castle Rock!
Pros: Great food, excellent service, good atmosphere
Cons: Can get a little loud during peak times

Crowfoot is excellent! The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I think the drinks are fairly pricey but the ambience is wonderful. There is a great room off to the side that has some lounge chairs and some toys. It??s a great place to go with your kids. I have never had a coffee drink that didn??t taste fabulous from them. Also, don??t forget they are connected to Dream Pastries which is the best bakery in town.
PROS: Great comfy shop with good stuff
CONS: Fairly expensive

You go to Duke's for the steak, not the ambience. It is not the nicest inside and the service I've gotten stinks, however, the food is FABULOUS. This restaurant serves some of the best steaks I've ever had. Every bite of food I've gotten there has been spectacular. Recommend for a great steak!

Dream Pastries is SO delicious. They have really good pastries and breads. They seem to be more european style with baguettes and custards, etc. They do have their own beverages but are attached to Crowfoot so I'd go over there for my drink. They do really good lunches too, they have great salads and sandwiches. I've gotten cakes and party trays here and they are always yummy.

This place is a must find, it is hidden off of one of the exits you get off for Castle Rock off of founders parkway way in the corner of a small strip mall. If you're craving an excellent pad thai noodle dish, this is the place. I have had this dish in many other Thai restaurants and they do not compare, a must try...

This shop is so nice. The owner is usually working there and you are often the only person in the store. It has been around for ages so the owner has lots of fun stories if you have time to chat. There is a ton of yummy treats as well as other gifts in this cute store. It's right downtown so is easy to get to.
