... when you pick them yourself. My mom used to take my sister and I every summer to pick strawberries and Remlinger farms and we loved it. Granted, we had to spend the next week eating nothing but the fruit we picked, but they were delicious and incredibly well-priced too. This is a great activity for children as long as you remember the sunscreen.

Every year the sun shines for a few days in Western Washington and makes the raspberries at Harvold's Berry Farm big and tasty.
Unless you're already in the lower Snoqualmie Valley it's a bit of a pain to get there (probably best to drive east on I-90 to Preston, then drive through Fall City to the north end of Carnation), but when you see the vines you realize it was well worth it.
Even in a year with little rain the berries were in great shape. In just under an hour and a half four adults and one kid picked almost 20 pounds of raspberries, which Harvold's charges about a buck a pound for.
Eat them fresh (after paying, of course) or can them in sugar water or as jam and you'll be happy you made the effort.

This is the place to go for japanese language videos. The y have DVD's and VHS. Their selction is so so compared to major video stores, but adequet. They actually rotate new titles so their recent category almost always has something to offer. The prices a great, just a couple bucks to rent and its easy to sign up. Late fees are also reasonable. They just below Ft. St. George restaurant near Uwajimaya.

We went to Remlinger Farms on Saturday Oct 13th to find there were 1,500 or more people there. The lines were very long and the rides very short. there are no seats for parents to wait while their kids take the rides. The kitchen was staffed by 2 cooks. Going in, they make you walk through a maze of shopping and the entrance fee is outrageous - $15 per person (kids as well as adults). The owners appear to be greedy and uncaring. This used to be a fun place, to take kids. Now it is over priced, over crowded and undercaring. Better to go to Snoqualmie Falls on a hike or Carnation Farms.

The managment at this place was great when I helped with an event one summer night. It was a golf tournament, and the staff was very accommodating, helpful, and had suggestions for us to get the group together. Whatever we needed, the tried to find. AFterwards the staff stayed late at the grill/counter in case anyone wanted to snack, they were cheerful and very nice. I'd use this facility again for a golf event.

More
My husband and I have worked with a lot of Handymen in our 7 years here, but Andy Martin of AAA Handyman Services is the best (425-681-6543).
Andy is professional and highly skilled. He can build small-scale wood projects (like wine cabinets, bookcases, and cornices), he hangs blinds and drapes, he can do small electrical and plumbing fixes and installations -- he fixes just about any problem around the house. The only thing he doesn't do is paint.
We have been incredibly impressed with Andy since before we even knew him. He was recommended to us by a family who had a lot of cabinet-style work done. In one area, they had some major drywall detailing and woodwork done. It looks built-in and Andy did the whole thing. They also had some cabinets in their kitchen removed. He took one of the old cabinets and turned it into a wine shelf for them. It also looks built-in--like it was a part of the house from the beginning.
For us, he has done innumerable projects, including removing the ventilation system from under our stovetop, hanging ceiling-to-floor drapes, patching both drywall and wood framing, and shaved the bottom of a door that was dragging.
To top it all off, Andy's rates are better than others that we've seen. At $60 an hour, he comes in under what we've paid in the past -- and he shows up when he says he's going to and does high-quality work. He takes pride in what he does.
