The model for future retail. This village-like approach brings back memories of small-town Indiana, before large malls such as Castleton overwhelmed.
Generally upscale tenants bring a wide variety of goods and services in an attractive setting.
Innovative use of "teaser" parking in front of stores with ample parking in rear.
Some will miss the "indoor" mall experience, especially during inclement weather, but the feel of Clay Terrace is welcome, even in winter. I can't wait to watch it mature as the trees and foliage grow over the years.
And, of course, it comes with the signature Carmel roundabouts.

Meijer is a good store to do your grocery shopping. They usually have pretty good prices and great sales. They also have a good amount of general merchandise though it's not as nice as Target's and not as cheap as Wal-Marts.
Of course, the best part about Meijer is the penny horse at the front of the store. My daughter loves that she gets to ride everytime (if she's good) and she knows that Meijer is the only store that we ride the horsies.

Fazoli's is a great place to go when you want to go out for dinner without spending a ton of money. Our family of four can eat for less than ten dollars when we want to. The free breadsticks are great and our daughter likes the activities they offer on kids night.

I don't know why I bother looking anywhere else but Sur La Table... they have all the unique kitchen items imaginable and the know-how to match. All of their service people are so knowledgeable, I only wish I had them in my back pocket when making an attempt at pastries!
