Like it's big brother (The Glass Chimney) on Old Meridian in Carmel, Deeter's brings haute cuisine and a menu of Continental and French that satisfies every time.
Both are owned and operated by veteran Dieter Puska, after whom the restaurant gets its name (with just a small phonetic spelling change...Hoosiers raised on calorie-laden foods would have never entered the door of a correctly-spelled Dieters).
The Chimney would top the list of Best In Carmel, but Deeter's wins based on price.
The pricier (average entrée above $50) and dressier (coats required) Chimney is special but Deeter's is even more so.
The menu's similar, the chef cooks for both and they share a kitchen. Deeter's is less formal and easier on the wallet. And the food's just as enjoyable.
Reservations are recommended. And all major credit cards are accepted.
Just north of Carmel Drive (126th Street); east of U.S. 31 (Meridian Street)

Located in the heart of downtown Carmel, Bazbeaux Pizza brings a taste of Broad Ripple up north. Of course, the speciality is pizza, which is delicious and very affordable. The menu also has lots of different Italian meals, great salads and some awesome cheesy garlic bread. This offshoot of the Broad Ripple classic does not disappoint.

when you're looking for a different way to do carry out pizza - give this a try... you pick up your prepared pizza and all you need to do it take home and bake it. This is a great concept for pizza and having the control over when it's baked - so that it's nice and hot when YOU are ready to eat it

I don't think I have ever had a negative experience here. We seem to always get the same waitress. They have the best desserts!! I can bring the kids and not feel uncomfortable about them getting mad. We continue to go back!

Greek Tony's has been a Carmel staple for years. After moving to their new location in the early 90's it has had a continued stream of lunch time traffic as well as after-game pizza parties. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good...real good, but you would be doing yourself an injustice not to try one of their subs. One, on their ever-growing list of yumminess. My personal favorite is the #3 The Mama's, but I also went thru a gyro, italian and a pizza phase, I now live in Broad Ripple where I am surrounded by food offerings everyday. I still make a point to drive to Carmel every know and then to have a taste of tried and true excellence.

The pros & cons say it all. It is not out of this word good, but neither is it the traditional theme restaurant. It is just OK. I won't go out of my way to go there, but neither will I turn it down if someone wants to go.
Pros: It's average
