My daughter has been going to Carmel Pediatrics for the past 10 yrs and we have finally decided to switch to a new office. The nurse tried to give my daughter a flu vaccine with preservatives after I heard her say to another nurse if the patient doesn't ask - don't tell. When I asked what was different with the flu shot she refused to tell me and got upset. She said I would be charged for the flu shot even thought it was different than what was advertised. I requested to speak to the doctor and was denied. Eventually after a long wait I spoke to the nursing manager who acknowledged why I was so upset and said they would freeze the other shot till the end of the day for another patient so that I would not be charged. I am thankful that I over heard the nurses speaking and that I was able to say no to the flu shot with preservatives. If the nurse would have been up front and honest about running out of the no preservative flu shot that was advertised in their waiting room I would not have been upset, but the fact that she was dishonest and attempted to give my daughter a different flu shot without discussing it with me is why I no longer trust the staff at this office.

We have been so happy with the care we have received at Carmel Pediatrics. I really feel like I can trust these doctors. Every morning there is a phone hour where you can call and speak directly to the doctor. This is so helpful, especially when you have a new baby or a sick child. The office staff is really nice as well.
