The best bloody mary you will find anywhere, ever...I swear.
I have moved past all of those cloudy "Carbondale" years and my memory is foggy about the many times I hung out at the Cellar. The shuffleboard table, jukebox....what more is there to love in a bar than fiesty bartenders, good drinks, mature crowd- than in a dark cellar?
The place to stop in for a bloody mary and to avoid the crazy Carbondale young drinkers crowd. It is mellow but can get a little rowdy in a fun loving way....
I shouldn't even be reviewing the Cellar because then people will go there and ruin it for the regulars....sorry!

I am a big cat person; I have four. They are an essential part of my life; they're family. When I need to take these guys into the vet, I take them to Central Hospital for Animals. We've had the same vet for about two and a half years now. The vet is very attentive to the animals, but does not overly make over the cats (something they hate). We usually get in and out in about 30 minutes max, and this is with two cats. By the way, Central gives a 10% discount if you bring in two or more animals at the same time for care.

I was really disappointed with the suppose to be Chicago style hot dogs. I would not recommend this place if you know what a good Chicago hot dog taste like.

I believe, the stuff at this store is picked over by Tropicana (I may be wrong), so that there is nothing ever really good there. They have some nice non-clothing items though, so check those out at the front counter. If you are looking for some nice vintage clothing, however, you're better off looking somewhere else.

I highly recommend visiting Cristaudo's, if only for their ledgendary pink cookies. They serve delicious gourmet coffee and have a large selection of other tasty baked goods like brownies and lemon bars as well as many other cookies. They also have many varieties of bread, bagels, and muffins. I've never eaten their hot food in the store, but I've been to several events that they catered and the food was awesome.
