I lived in Stevenson Arms for 1 year. I paid for a private room and my suite mate did also so we made kind of an apartment out of our 2 rooms. It was nice to not be living near all the dorms and be able to walk a very short distance to the strip. However, the food sucked, the living expenses were high and the office staff really were downright mean.
Usually it got kind of wild becase the RA was never around which was cool if you liked to be loud. This is not a dorm for the bookworms who need peace and quiet to study. Also, they had hardly any parking so I can't tell you how many mornings I had to wake up in the wee hours and start feeding the parking meters. They never warned me about that when I was trying to find a place to live.

We had a confirmed reservation, and the hotel refused to honor it or offer to do anything to help the situation, claiming they did not even have the reservation, even when we showed them the printed confirmation. We called Customer Service, and they reiterated that it was a valid, confirmed reservation and that the hotel should have honored it. We stayed somewhere else. The hotel then charged us for the reservation they claimed not to have, even though Customer Service had assured us multiple times that we would not be charged. We still have not gotten our money back from the hotel. Never stay at the Quality Inn in Carbondale.
