My parents live close by and everytime we go visit they want to have Quatro's pizza. This place is awesome and it is the best pizza you will ever have. The restaurant doesn't look so big from the outside, but once inside you see it is much bigger than you expected. It is very popular with the college kids, but still has a nice setting for families as well. Very casual, so it makes for a fun family night.
Pros: The best pizza ever
Cons: A lot of college kids hanging out

Well..since graduating high school in 75 and moving here and there, I have yet to find an Italian Beef sandwich that compares to IVs! I absolutely love New Kahala!!! I went to school at SIU and discovered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Now, I live in Chicago and take the drive down to C-dale twice a year just for their Sweet & Sour Chicken or Pork. You will never find a more loyal fan of New Kahala!

Quatro's is the best pizza in town and has been a favorite of mine for over 10 years. They have incredible deep dish pizza (which almost everyone who dines there gets) and on Monday nights they have whole wheat pizza. If you are lucky enough to have a discount card from either 710 or an alumni membership you also get a free pitcher of soda with a large dine in pizza. A nice plus for diners with kids -- they give free "kids' salads" made up of croutons and cheese, with a side of crackers.

This is by far my favorite pizza. I have had pizza all across the country and none match this place for me. Uno's in chicago? pfft, not even close. I live on the east coast and sometimes have urges to jump on a plane just to get some of this pizza! This small mom and pop joint turns out amazing pizza's. Almost always packed with people, the seating limited. Typical college town strip pizza joint with college students as servers. The owners are usually there so don't worry about it not being clean. You can watch the owner point out each crumb for the busboy to clean off the carpet. If you're in Carbondale, you need to try Pag's
