My parents live close by and everytime we go visit they want to have Quatro's pizza. This place is awesome and it is the best pizza you will ever have. The restaurant doesn't look so big from the outside, but once inside you see it is much bigger than you expected. It is very popular with the college kids, but still has a nice setting for families as well. Very casual, so it makes for a fun family night.
Pros: The best pizza ever
Cons: A lot of college kids hanging out

Well..since graduating high school in 75 and moving here and there, I have yet to find an Italian Beef sandwich that compares to IVs! I absolutely love New Kahala!!! I went to school at SIU and discovered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Now, I live in Chicago and take the drive down to C-dale twice a year just for their Sweet & Sour Chicken or Pork. You will never find a more loyal fan of New Kahala!

Quatro's is the best pizza in town and has been a favorite of mine for over 10 years. They have incredible deep dish pizza (which almost everyone who dines there gets) and on Monday nights they have whole wheat pizza. If you are lucky enough to have a discount card from either 710 or an alumni membership you also get a free pitcher of soda with a large dine in pizza. A nice plus for diners with kids -- they give free "kids' salads" made up of croutons and cheese, with a side of crackers.

Jennifer, how can you say the salsa tastes as if it comes out of a jar? Tres has the freshest salsa I have ever tasted in my life! fresh carrots, cilantro, tomatoes, etc.. I mean the salsa has crunch to it!! I encourage anyone out there to give the restaurant a try. It's a lovely addition to Southern Illinois.
