I almost didn't want to review this restaurant because I like the fact that is a hidden gem in the valley.
The atmosphere is quite lacking and the counter ordering isn't my favorite, but you forget about everything the minute you take a bite of your food. They use the most fresh ingredients and I haven't had a meal there that isn't delicious! This mexican food might not be totally authentic, but they offer a great variety of standard mexican dishes. Their guacamole and salsas are made fresh on site, and you can tell the minute you dip into them with your complimentary tortilla chips. Prices are so affordable and portions are the perfect size for someone with an appetite. Don't be put off when you pull into the parking lot and wonder why you came to this "hole-in-the-wall." It is really fabulous food. Make sure you bring cash, as they don't take any cards. Also, don't confuse this restaurant with "baja fresh" which is a chain that opened near by.

We stopped in this store while shopping in Canton. The store is very small and there are only about 4 tables for people to sit at...but the variety of ice cream is great and it was very good. There was a constant line....I would go there again...the ice cream out weighs the small store!!

Flat bread had excellent organic pizza with every topping imaginable. The service is always stellar and the beer menu is fantastic with many exceptional microbrews. They do also offer salad and dessert, but it is basically only pizza.

My family and I go to the Saybrook Fish House at least four times a year. I always get the shrimp. My husband gets the crabs legs.
Our children enjoy the restaurant because they can draw on the paper tablecloth while they wait for our dinner to arrive. They bring warm bread and a family style salad 1st. At the end of the meal a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts comes, but we always bring that home. The portions are so large we never have any room for dessert.

About the last place I expected to find an interesting and privately owned little shop was in the tony new plaza in Canton, but what a pleasant surprise! Sometimes I find the whole country theme a bit overpowering, but here, it is barely evident. Beautiful and slightly unusual candelabra, serving dishes and various other decorative items kept me looking in every corner - and the sales staff was helpful without being pushy.

This restaurant is one of the best if you are in the mood for seafood (and plenty of other choices if seafood isn't your thing). It is easy to find with ample parking. The establishment is clean, with friendly staff, and they are not overly pricey either. Great restaurant for the whole family.
