This restaurant is one of the best if you are in the mood for seafood (and plenty of other choices if seafood isn't your thing). It is easy to find with ample parking. The establishment is clean, with friendly staff, and they are not overly pricey either. Great restaurant for the whole family.

Flat bread had excellent organic pizza with every topping imaginable. The service is always stellar and the beer menu is fantastic with many exceptional microbrews. They do also offer salad and dessert, but it is basically only pizza.

My family and I go to the Saybrook Fish House at least four times a year. I always get the shrimp. My husband gets the crabs legs.
Our children enjoy the restaurant because they can draw on the paper tablecloth while they wait for our dinner to arrive. They bring warm bread and a family style salad 1st. At the end of the meal a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts comes, but we always bring that home. The portions are so large we never have any room for dessert.

I heard great things about Baja Fresh so I took the trip up there one day to try it out. I thought it sounded very similar to the La Salsa chain (one in Fairfield, CT...the rest are in the South or out West)...and i LOVE La Salsa.
Baja Fresh didn't disappoint. It was very similar to LaSalsa...fresh grilled Mexican food that isn't greasy or too spicy or anything else bad typically associated with Mexican. My only gripe with the food is that it was sooooo salty.
Like the other reviewer said, there is an unlimited-trips salsa bar with about 4 different kinds of salsa. I would recommend trying them all??they??re all excellent. I??ve tried both the Baja burrito and the chicken quesedilla, and both were very very good, just a little too salty for me.
PROS: cheap, healthy mexican
CONS: too salty

they will make one to your liking or choose one of the specialties they suggest on the menu. They even make good ol' fashioned fried dough, twice the size of the plate !!
try something absolutely addicting..the fried eggplant. strips of eggplant fried so lightly and served with a great sauce and smothered in grated cheese! to die for !!
craving a burger? the best I've found for many miles around. thick juicy and you can top it withjust about anything you can think of.
can't say enough, try it, you won't be disappointed, but be prepared to wait a bit for a table on the weekends during dinner time, but trust me it is worth the wait.
the service is usually good, never had a problem.
can be a bit noisy as it is a family place, but don't let that keep you away.
can be chilly by the large glass windows so bring a sweater if you tend to get chilled easy.

Let me key you in to a local gem - Truffles is not only a very good bakery, but a fantastic spot for weekend breakfast - reasonable priced, very good food. Lunch is also good, but for instance with an egg wrap, then include a small piece of coffee cake or 1/2 a muffin. Food is always good - and the maple syrup is REAL maple syrup. Personally, I also recommend trying a black and whie - though they are usually sold out

We stopped in this store while shopping in Canton. The store is very small and there are only about 4 tables for people to sit at...but the variety of ice cream is great and it was very good. There was a constant line....I would go there again...the ice cream out weighs the small store!!
