I love the regular pho--if you're hungry, get the large (or even the extra large!) The regular pho has beef, tendon, and tripe in it--so if you're not comfortable eating innards, go for one of the custom ones without the tripe/tendon instead--but for the authentic experience, get the whole shebang.
The pho comes with a plate of mung bean sprouts, lime slices, and (maybe if you ask) hot peppers. There are also jars of various Vietnamese sauces at each table--the orangeish red one is really fragrant and spicy, and I recommend dumping it liberally into your soup if you like it hot.
Overall, GREAT restaurant! Apparently they also have desserts, but I've never been hungry enough to try.

I've never gotten very adventurous here, but the vermicelli and spring rolls and the pho are reliable and cheap. The service has been very fast the many times I've gone, almost too fast on occasion. The dining room is crowded and there's always a wait on weekends and dinner hour late in the week, but it moves pretty fast. Wine list, but not really the place to relax with a glass.

I have been to this location in Cambridge and in Chinatown. I prefer the Cambridge one. It is cleaner and the service is better. The one in Cambridge is pretty nice actually. I have no complaints. The one in Chinatown........well.........the customer service is bad. They all look unhappy to be working there. It is very cramped. I don't think it's dirty. The pho at both places ROCK!! I love eating the food; it is delicious! You can beat it or the price. A small bowl is $5.25.

I have eaten here and had a little bit of a squemish feeling from the way the place looks as far as being clean, etc, but they do have some good food for cheap. they make a couple dishes I'd never had before. so if you can get past the service and a little bit of dirt here and there and want to save some cash while getting a descent amout of food then this is the place to go

This place is as unauthentic as it can get. It really caters to the non-Vietnamese audience which means that it's clean and the dishes are easy to understand. However, the quality of the food suffers. I would not recommend this place if you want REAL Vietnamese dining. However, it is a good place to go if you've never tried Vietnamese food and want a place to start. The food is more expensive than normal Vietnamese food.

Pho Pasteur offers Vietnamese noodle soup. Their entrees are in large portion just about enough for you and your friend. The noodle soup is good but might be a little too expensive compare to those in Chinatown. However it is about right for a restaurant in Cambridge. If you want a quick meal and don't want to get out of Cambridge this is the place to go.
