Middlesex Lounge Restaurant

Lots of review for you Middlesex Lounge. Well I like this place. A friend of mine invited me here. We were at the Phoenix Landing on a thursday night and we decided to go there. It was my first time. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Thursday night is great the music is like a house music genre. The club is clean but can be packed late at night. The crowd is mixed. The energy of the dancers on the dancefloor is incredible. They usually make a circle in the middle of the dancefloor and people will start to dance one by one, there is some breakdance as well. There is a great dancer, he is black and has dreadlocks, he has so much energy, he even invited me in the middle to show my moves lol. I did ok and it was so much fun. The Middlesex is hidden behind veiled windows and has terrific drinks and snacks. The decor is minimalist, with moody lighting and low square and rectangular padded benches you can move around as fits your group. The bartenders here know what they're doing and are a pleasure to deal with; the "tiny tacos" appetizer is really, really good. It's easy to miss the Middlesex when you're walking by but it's the perfect place to meet a friend and catch up. DJing happens nearly every night and can get a little loud, but the vibe is chill and you may find yourself staying for the tunes when you thought you had somewhere to be. more

This is the type of place that you expect to be only in NYC rather than in Boston. Boston's known for its historic taverns around Faneuil Hall, whereas NYC's known for its swanky, ultrachic, modern clubs. However, this place breaks the trend. (Granted, it's technically in Cambridge.) Anyway, this lounge is a good place to sit and relax with your friends while actual waitresses serve drinks. It's lively and a good place to hang. more
