We have always received a great cut! My son's hair is super thick and at other places they have cut the bangs straight across. It looks ridiculous. Here they layer and thin the hair out for a stylish cut. My daughter's first haircut was a cute little bob with just enough layers in the back for curl and body. And, the kids love the distraction of watching a movie while their hair is being cut! We like it!

My 3 year old daughter and I had an unfortunate experience of making an appointment at another salon in San Mateo and waiting for 40 minutes just to leave after the owner was a no-show. Without an appointment made anywhere else, I called Just Kids Cuts & Beauty Market and although I didn't have an appointment, they sympathized with my situation and got me in right away. The service was great and the cut was fantastic. They have a small play/waiting room which was just perfect for my daughter to get her mind off of the haircut since she normally does not like to get her hair cut. When the time came for the haircut, the sylist was very thorough, sweet and gave my daughter the best cut she's ever had! To my surprise, my daughter did not squirm or shed a tear! They have very cute and original looking hair accessories for girls. The price of the cut was a bit higher than I'm used to paying ($20+tip for full cut), but under the circumstances, I think it was completely worth it. Since I don't take my daughter to get her hair cut that often, I think it's a price I won't mind paying for the service and quality of the cut. Definately recommended!

Have been taking my children here for 4 1/2 years, but now no longer. Duped for the last time. Most recently brought 2 of my children in for a blow dry to look nice for a special event. No haircut done, just a blow dry and they charged me the same price as a haircut - $20 for each. Imagine my horror when the bill comes to $40 for a blow dry.Have had previous experience where I was charged for an entire haircut when one of my children literally was in the chair less than 3 minutes - a quick trim of the back, but because it was not the bangs, but the back, it was considered a haircut. RIP OFF. Also, they are always pushing products - you can't even walk around without having someone down your neck with respect to products. I feel like they are missing the whole customer service philosophy, and as a result have lost 3 customers.

Kids Kuts and More is a nice, flashy facility in downtown Burlingame. It is quite popular and tons of people take their kids to get cut there. I believe, however that the popularity is based in large part on the dearth of salons for kids in the mid-Peninsula. Their hair cuts cost $20 and most boys get a mediocre buzz cut that the stylist spends about 3 minutes doing. Definitely not worth the price.

The first time I went here I thought it was too expensive for what it was - a mediocre cut where they expect kids. They even have a rocket ship chair that they *never* use! However, two of my kids are bad at haircuts so I took them back because I knew they would be better when the kids are bad. They at least expect kids, but the hair cuts are mediocre for the price. I've since decided I'll only take the kids that have issues, and take the kids that don't have problems getting haircuts somewhere cheaper.

When I have the time to do it right, I'll call to make an appointment with Just Kids Cuts in Burlingame and drive a half an hour to get there. They cater to kids: the waiting area is a play room with toys and video games and they usually have a kids movie on DVD playing. Oh and they also do a great job actually cutting hair! Very nice, nothing traumatic about it. Cutting hair can be fun.

My children have never had issues with haircuts, but this is a great place for kids who may fear a pair of scissors wielded near their heads. My kids love going here for haircuts. The decor and atmosphere are so welcoming and fun, the haircutting seats are like a ride for them. The stylists are friendly and the cuts are great, even for my kids unwieldy hair! Love this place.

I have come to realize that kid's bad haircuts grow out very fast, so I'm less inclined to spend salon prices (at least for my son's boy cut that I think most fairly competent stylists can do). Here you are paying for atmosphere - it's got a very salon feel and the requisite TV coma equipment (VCR that's always on whether you want your kids to watch it or not) and the rocket chairs. It also has an ample beauty market attached, but as a SAHM, my kids are more Johnson and Johnson's type then Bed Head or Bumble and Bumble. So, nothing wrong with this place, my kids have never had a bad cut here (I would definitely recommend it for the first cut - they do the hoopla pretty well - picture and keepsake hair card), but I don't think it's worth the price.
