I have been to Jun for many years now. Their albacore is the freshest I have had -- and I have lived in Japan for 5 years. Add in the chef, Aki, and it is a great experience!
Pros: Freshness of fish, good appetizers, Aki, the chef!
Cons: when busy can be slow

I almost hate to review this place for fear others will find out how great it is! This is the BEST breakfast in B-game (better than Stacks in my opinion). The oatmeal pancakes and scones are to die for. I take all out of town guests to this place for oatmeal pancakes and every person has left raving about them! The egg dishes (scrambles, omlets, etc) are good too but not outstanding. The wait can be long on the weekends so try to get there early. FYI, they also started serving dinner.
Pros: brunch food, service
Cons: wait on weekends

This is one of the best breakfast places in the Bay Area, and everyone knows it. Be prepared to wait as long as an hour or more. Thankfully, they provide lots of seating space outside and coffee. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service seems to keep up with the crowds well too.

Oh wow, I remember when this place was first opened - there were lines that went to the street! Even now, it's always full (even on weekdays!). It's always a pleasure to dine here, because the food is INCREDIBLE and the staff are pleasant. I recommend the crepes with the Nutella and pistachios (sienna) only for $4.95. For the food quality and taste, their prices are fairly reasonable. I also LOVE the decor and the big menu on the wall.

My family and I decided to give this place a try for lunch today. We were in between soccer games for our daughter's weekend tournament and needed a quick place to eat. The food is outstanding! Dad ordered a Loco Moco and what a delicious treat! His plate included jasmine rice, topped with a generous sized hand-formed hamburger patty, a slice of spam, overeasy eggs and brown gravy. A mountain of al dente fresh broccoli, zucchini and carrots accompanied his entree. Mom ordered a basic hamburger. Her plate included a generous 1/3 lb hamburger patty on a grilled buttered hamburger bun with crisp iceberg lettuce, tomato slices and sweet onion slices. Both orders included a generous and delicious Caesar salad (with yummy croutons.) Daughter ordered chicken potsticker appetizers. She said the potstickers were good. Leann's Cafe definitely made our list. Bonus: This is a clean, 24-hour restaurant in a safe neighborhood with lots of parking, easy access, and friendly service. The desserts looked great but we had no time to indulge.

This place is great & reasonably priced. I had the salmon special which was super. My guests had the pork special & lobster ravioli. Rave reviews all around.
The sad part is we were there on Sat night & Burlingame Ave was a ghost town.
I know it's hard with this economy but if you can please go here for dinner. Don't let them become another empty space.

My husband and I happened upon this place and what a wonderful surprise we had!! We walked in on a Friday night at 7 pm and only had to wait a few minutes but it is a small place so if you can make a reservation I would. The food was wonderful and the staff very prompt...we will be returning on our next visit to the San Francisco area.

Roti is an incredible restaurnat. The food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the mixed Naan basket and the Ghost Madras. There is also a shrimp dish in spinach that is fantastic (the name escapes me). The owners are very nice people and they also have a branch on West Portal in the city. The chef was the same chef at a prominent Indian restaurant in SF that was voted best Indian restaurant in SF for five years whilw he worked there. The beer at Roti is a good mix with the food and is served in nice, tall, chilled beer glasses. If you're going to have wine, though, I recommend you bring your own...the wine list leaves something to be desired and the corkage is reasonable. A great place for those that love Indian food as well as those who are just trying it for the first time!

We've been going to Max's for years, in fact we used to take all visitors to Hobee's and the Redwood City Max's because they have something for everyone. We decided to go back to the Burlingame one today since we hadn't gone in 6 years and were on the way. The server was really good. He really seemed busy but always got us what we asked for. The kids' meals looked great. Actually, one kid got the sliders and Max's has the best sliders (mini-burgers) because their rolls are good. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was kind of overcooked (so were the fries, too) but healthy enough. I also love their bread -- they have a raisin/golden raisin bread that they bring to your table and it's really good! That's one of the main things I like about the place. They also have great desserts. We usually get cake or ice cream, but they had great looking brownie sundaes (my favorite) and their banana split looked amazing -- bananas; vanilla, chocolate and coffee ice cream, pieces of their bar cookies, nuts, whipped cream and toppings. I really wish I had gotten it! We ended up getting cake to go -- their cake is great and you can get a "half" slice, which isn't too big and is about $4. Great food and choices!
