From the moment you enter through the Tudor doors it is like you have stepped back to Old England. The piano is playing softly in the background and the serving wenches are always friendly. Their prime rib is served to perfection and the creamed corn is WONDERFUL - They have the best Yorkshire Pudding. Don't forget to order trifle for dessert.

Sakae is an amazing sushi resaurant. I have been traveling to Burlingame, SF on business over the past several years and never knew this incredible restaurant was 5 minutes from my hotel. I've had sushi at the "best" restaurants in San Francisco and around the country, and Sakae ranks in the top 3 places I've ever been. On the day I visited, Sakae had an incredible variety of specialty sushi, which was marked on the daily blackboard. The medium fatty tuna (Toro) was the highlight of the day; the specialty yellowtail was just as pleasing. Everything we had was fresh and very well prepared. The restaurant is small and unpretentious, which adds to its charm. Sakae also has a very in-depth sake menu, with many hard to find sakes.
If you are looking for a true Japanese sushi experience, Sakae is the place to go. You will find more variety of specialty and hard to find sushi and sake here than at any other sushi restaurant in SF. Truly a gem.
Pros: Freshness, Variety of Sushi and Sake, Master Chef
Cons: Not cheap, but sushi this good shouldn't be cheap

One night Sonia and I wanted to find a place to have some pasta, and remembered this restaurant on Broadway Burlingame. Stopped, looked at the menu, looked through the window and found everything inviting. We were greeted by Ibo, who promptly took us to a table. We were pleasantly surprised with service, charm, food. Ibo made us feel special. What a treat!. The Linguini Confrutti di Mare (Fresh Linguini noodles poached with seafood, white wine, garlic, tomato basil sauce) and Cesar Salade Classic "Ibo" were excellent. We share one of the best versions of Tiramisu, exquisite! We loved the restaurant so much, we made reservations for three days later on a Saturday night and had another great night to remember! I highly recommend the lamb chops, if offered! Two weeks ago, I took my brother and his wife, and had another excellent experience. I have eaten here three times, and each time has been enjoyable and my rating 9, 10, 8 for each of the three visits. I hope you find a similar experience. We plan to go tonight, Valentine's, with another couple. Cheers! Peter
Pros: Greeted promptly, and warmly.
Cons: Plan on a longer and enjoyable meal

This place has a little bit of everything -- though they specialize in crepes, they offer a pretty mean burger, and a very fluffy stack of pancakes. It's located in a nice little restaurant/shopping district, and has an open air dining area. Great for dessert, but holds its own in regular meals as well!

I was absolutely blown away at how GREAT Crystal Springs looks after the new improvements. New carts paths, level tee boxes, new terrain features and bunkers all add to a great experience... and they honored my SF Resident golf card for a discount!! The price is still a little steep ($58 walking on Sat) but course conditions were real good the day I played and I finished in just over 4 hours. Only downside was my hot dog at the turn was cold, no big deal. If you haven't been to Crystal in awhile give it a shot, it was also nice seeing the sunshine after many rounds at Harding & Lincoln in the cold fog.
Pros: Conditions, Friendly Staff, Pace of Play
Cons: Pricey, Food
