I go to this school, and it's good. It's not anything special, but it's cool. They have a great sports program (awesome soccer team) and an OLYMPIC sized pool. They have great, challenging classes so the students don't get bored. I like that you can take as many courses and at any difficulty level that you want. We also have many different clubs (we need more ethnic clubs, though). We have great events ( I love the international food fair). The foreign language program is awesome (I had a blast in French class). I'm joining mock trial next year. We should have a debate team.

I like the Burlingame Library. It is pretty convenient to shopping so you can stop by when you're downtown. The children's library is cute, it's got a little door the kids like to use but the room itself seems dated (old carpet?). They most recently upgraded their knitting section, so it is worth going there just for that! And the employees are very nice and accomodating.

If you're looking to get a great, well-rounded education for your kids, you can't go wrong with Burlingame. I've been attending Burlingame School District schools all my life, and neither I nor my parents have had any trouble with the school system or anything like that. They have great teachers, great students, and great academics (also great, spirited athletics). Go Bulldogs! Go Trojans! Go Panthers! Go Burlingame!

This is one of the better libraries in the bay area. This library and Millbrae are my two favorite. It is so pretty in the library, everything new and well maintained. The staff members are very friendly and willing to answer all of your questions. They also have wonderful activities for children. They had a great Halloween party for all the kidswhich I took my nephews. They had a wonderful time with he rst of the children. Its a very safe environment for learning and fun.

Mills Peninsula has the worst billing deparment I have ever encountered. They do not itemize and you never know what your paying for, and you can't get any satifiaction from the staff. This last incident takes the cake. My husband had hernia surgery at Mills in November of 2005. Knowing that we would be recieving a bill, we decided to put off other medical procedures in order to save our flexible spending dollars to pay Mills. We received copies of several notices from our insurance company requesting additional information from Mills. We finally recieved the bill in September of 2006, 11 months after the surgery! Needless to say, we lost our flexible spending dollars. When we received the bill, I wrote to Mills asking why it would take 11 months to get a bill, I also enclosed a partial payment. I wrote two more letters requesting an explanation and sent two more partial payments. I finally received a letter from Mills, stating that it was our insurance company that was the problem. I wrote again, asking them to supply supporting documentation and I would take it up with the insurance company, again I enclosed a check. I have had no response, other than Mills turned the bill over to collection in January of 2007, four months after sending the bill and even though I had been making payments. J&L ( the collection agency) then wanted to charge interest going back to the date of the surgery! ( a supervisor did wave this). I ended up having to put this on a credit card to avoid a black mark on our credit. Please note that all other services for this surgery were billed, reviewed and paid in a timely fashion - it was only Mills that we had a problem with. If you are with Mills -- beware - and good luck.
Pros: Hospital Staff is fine
Cons: Billing Department is a nightmare

Hi, I'm actually a proud volunteer at Palcare, and I love it (which is why I'm volunteering my time). I get to see with my own eyes how the kids here are treated, and I would describe the place like a big, loving family. The kids love the teachers because the teachers are always ready with warm hugs when needed. It's a very organized schedule and I haven't seen one child here who doesn't love it here. It's a great place for kids!
