I was having real issues with the front office of my gynecologist, so when I'd had enough, I started asking friends for recommendations. The doctor who Melissa works with, Dr. Debra Shapiro came highly recommended by a friend of mine who is a labor and delivery nurse, so I called right away. I needed an appointment right away, so they scheduled me with Melissa. She is friendly and really listened to me. I was on the Birth Control patch and got a little skittish after hearing all the news reports. I called Melissa and she took the time to advise me what to do. I ultimately decided to stay with it. Then there were more troubling news reports, so I called again and she again took the time to go through the pros and cons of several different methods. I recommend Melissa without reservation!

I recently changed to Debra Shapiro and Associates on a referral by my friend who is a labor and delivery nurse. Melissa was very thorough and very personable. I am very pleased with my decision. The front office is great too, which really makes a difference. I recently called Melissa to change birth control prescriptions - she called back the same day and took the time to go through any questions I had. Now I am doubly certain I made the right decision to switch and have already recommended her to friends.
