You must go to Islands in Burbank. It is by far the best burger in LA! Get a Hawaiian Burger and fries and you are in Paradise. Always fast and friendly service with great atmosphere. The burgers are juicy and fries are the best! Highly recommended!
Pros: Great food and service
Cons: Burgers should come with fries, but they are worth adding on for a couple bucks.

The teriyaki bowls are ediable (I guess), what you would expect at a burger stand. The pastrami's are good n' greasy, as are the fries, and the order of fries are large. But my reason for the "5" star rating is all about the potato salad. Yes, potato salad....believe it or not, this lil'ol' burger stand has an amazing secret recipe that comes together in this all time American picnic favorite. Ever since I accidentally opened up some left over Yaki potato salad from my mother's fridge 12 years ago expecting Chinese (they stuff it in a Chinese take out box) I was hooked. There is a spicy kick to it, but I never asked the ingredients...honestly I probably don't want to know. So if you are in the area or on a lunch run for some teriyaki, try out the potato salad. If you get a teriyaki bowl don't forget to get extra "yaki" sauce on the side in case the meat turns out dry. Enjoy!

If you visit this place, ask for Shinji - chief, and seat at the bar only. In the sushi plase it is a MUST to seat at the bar. The quality of sushi is much better that way!!! If you are lucky, and Shinji is there, tell him to make something spetial for you, you will not be dissapointed. they offer great Monk fish liver sashimi.
PROS: new owner, do not know, how it will affect sishi itself.
CONS: fish is very fresh, not refrigerated, happy hour Mn-Thrsd, from 5.30-7pm

My boyfriend and I had been craving a good place to eat thai food. We had used citysearch to find local places to eat that were highly rated but the food just didnt compare to this place. A friend recommended this restaurant and I thanked him when I got home. The food here was amazing, it was a real treat that left us soooo satisfied and wanting more. My boyfriend and I have been talking about it all week. We started out with Rote as the appetizer and it was excellent. Then we had very spicy Tom yum kai soup and it was very tasty. Its been hard to find a place that understands the meaning of "thai spicy" and this place understood us well. I had Pad thai and it was just perfect and my boyfriend had chicken with yellow curry and he loved it. We are both craving it every day. I dont usually leave reviews but I just had to, nor to I go to Burbank (I live in Sherman Oaks) to eat but it was well worth it and I will probably make this a weekly visit.
Pros: amazing food, friendly staff
Cons: not the greatest ambiance but who cares if you are hungry for good food

The food!!! It's the best Philly Steak I've ever had short of Philly. I was in for lunch and the atmosphere was very pleasant (watched ESPN and could hear the TV). Clean, served quickly and not rushed at all. This is a great place with locations in Burbank, Westwood and DODGER STADIUM. YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE IF YOU LIKE GOOD FOOD!!!!
Pros: Exceptional!

Sardo's is the best place to have the karaoke experience. It's the kind of place that it doesn't matter how you sound, it's still an amazing time. There is karaoke every night of the week. On Friday's from 7pm-9pm is family karaoke. Kids are welcomed and encouraged to sing. Yet, on Tuesday nights, it's geared toward the adult crowd. Literally! On Tuesday nights, it's Porn Star Karaoke. The name speaks for itself. Sardo's is the Karaoke King. The burgers there are pretty good there too.

This is a great little hidden treasure in Burbank. Always great music playing, lots of flyers on local bands, and a ton of cassettes, CD's & albums to choose from, including local and import bands. If that wasnt enough, treat yourself to a poster or go into a secret hidden sound/dust proof room and listen to your favorite album on a turnstyle record player. I love going here and find the service to be the best. If there is something you need, Backside will find it and order it for you! What more could you ask for. The atmosphere is very cool and hip, having a very Melrose and Hollywood feel, its fun to go to after dinner, movie or walk in downtown Burbank.
PROS: Fun, variety, vast past collection, hip

This is a casual Middle Eastern restaurant that is famous for rotisserie chicken. The food is consistently perfect. They are expanding their menu too. The service is great. Even great for vegetarians. Best Falafels ever, best hummus ever, fresh pita bread, amazing garlic sauce, tasty roasted chicken, yummy tabouli. Variety of sandwiches, sides and combo plates. Best Middle Eastern restaurant, I wouldn't call it "fast food", but it is rather speedy. This location is actually well decorated. For what you get, it is at a great value.
