Remember the 'old styled' sub sandwiches that were on the thick rolls with lots of meat and toppings? I know it is hard to remember now with so many chains that have taken over. If you are looking for a hearty submarine sandwich for a decent price, try Giamela's in Burbank. Right around the corner from Nick studios in Burbank. Perfect place to stop when the kids are at a Nick studios taping. Indoor/outdoor seating. The tables outside are wood benches. The place isn't real fancy but you can always take it to go. Inside there is more seating with the option to watch sports on the television inside. If you are in the area, give them a try. The sign does say "B" rating. But the good thing is the back cooking area is wide open, so you can watch them make your food.
