I have been to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum many times with my friends and family. I just find this place interesting. They have lots of unusual items to look at. They don't charge much for admission which is cool. Plenty of parking is available right in front. more

Interesting and weird... 2/28/2006

I always feel a little sick to my stomach after visiting this place. While my curiousty makes me want to see more, each thing I look at makes me a little more ill-feeling. This museum is filled with human oddities and unusual artifacts. Its pretty inexpensive to visit...about $11. If you have preteen or teen age kids, they would probably get a kick out of it, any younger and it might freak them out! more

Ripley's Believe it or Not is located right across the street from the Wax Museum. Another place that is way too touristy and they cater to that clientele. If you're a local it's very doubtful that you will step foot into this place. It's quite cheesy and expensive to see. It's located right in the touristy section of Los Angeles and I suppose you need to see it once in your lifetime but don't go out of your way to visit. more

Ripley's 7/31/2005

Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum is a collection of oddities. It's entertaining until you realize that the majority of the exhibits are the result of human cruelty, genetics gone haywire or a huge natural disaster. Then it gets a little old. Still, it's entertaining. Everyone who lives in the area should go at least once. I would leave young children at home, though--too much explaining to do. Bring them something fun from the gift shop instead. more
